About MisterL
Quick and change your course less grey fate your life ensnare. By guile or by force Come exilic concupiscere.
Hello. That is the usual way to begin a conversation is it not? Hello.
I have been referred to as a "polyamorous polymorphic pansexual"-that is to say I have a somewhat different set of moral codes than most of the population. Ethics however I do have, and they strongly guide me in my interactions with others. I am bound by the law of consent in all of my undertakings and bound as well by a personal desire to never treat human beings as a means to an end. Slave, submissive or other I am deeply concerned with the well being of those few I accept into the kaleidescope of my life.
I do possess a keen sense of humor but in general you would find me to be quiet, thoughtful and sincere in my communication. I am interested in meta-theories, the big picture and how it relates to the truth of human life. Psychology, religion, the arts, history, physics, mysticism, erotism all appeal to me deeply and you will find me well read with a deep understanding of each of these fields.
I have a variety of talents, have engaged in many different occupations thus far through life-lending me a multi-faceted perspective on human foibles. In terms of my social awareness you could say that I believe in radical freedom and radical responsibility. It is through this freedom that I take for myself that I choose to express my sexuality in a manner that shocks and appals the less adventurous.
I get great pleasure in moving away from the herd and striking off on my own in the realm of experience. My only caveat, my only rule, is the ancient rule of, "And it harm none do what you will". I would only add, "And it harm none against their will, do what you will". I would add that because I believe that we all need to be hurt, we all need to suffer, we all need pain to grow. Enough about me, if you want to know more you need only ask.
As for you well... I am looking for a young lady who is willing to take the road less travelled. One who has an unbounded thirst for sexual adventure and who comes unencumbered and freely to give herself wholly to one who can help to shape and guide her along her unique path in life. I am looking for a functional individual who can entertaining and alluring either in the city or the country. One who can serve in my household as a domestic and one who will be capable of fulfilling the role of personal secretary as I begin my third carrer with Law School next year.
I have a very established homelife, live in a fabulous kink-friendly community and have been in a long-term partnership with a dominant woman for many years now. Our house is eclectic and active and often filled with unique and interesting people.
My ideal girl would be more than a little interested in letting go and immersing herself in a 24/7 D/s relationship, providing our chemistry is right. She would then be freed of responsibilty and would recieve ever richer rewards as time goes on. All manner of BD/sm practices are employed within our home and within our community and the right person will be a part of the foundation of a truly amazing life.
Sound intriguing?
Then inquire within.

I have been thinking about the nature of a calling lately. Especially as it relates to the roles we take on within D/s and BD/SM lifestyles. In my academic life I spend most of my time puzzling over the ineractions that occur between the individuals psychology, the influence of the cultural matrix (and it's evolution through time) and situational behavioral choices. It strikes me that often we have instances of misery and illness when the match between psychology and culture is poor. In America, and most of Western Europe, old ways of being have long since been replaced by modern constructs. Man as machine, human as consumer, rather than by opportunities for us to live out the roles we may have been born to live out, our individual callings. I believe that there are only a finite number of human roles within a society, and that these roles were ingrained in our genetic structure far before the advent of written history (we have been in our present form for 200,000 +/- years, yet only about 8,000 years of history has been recorded). In that there may be many roles from the distant past that are unavailable for us to live out in the modern world, the wizard or shaman for one, the slave and servant for another, it is not unrealistic to expect that those who have a strong affinity for this lifestyle have a calling to it. The clues lie in the strength of affinity for archetypes such as "O" and the more recent Anne Rice "Beauty" series. Applying to the slave role only, the dominant role is another animal altogether.
Recent research has shown little pathology associated with the expression of dominant or submiussive roles in women or submissive roles in me (in the sexuality research literature-see Zurbriggen UCSC) However for men to express a dominant aspect in this scenarioes there is a significant corellation to pathology. Ironically low self-esteem, a lack of social skills within the larger social structure and other factors conspire to prevent many men as Doms from unfolding into a true expression of their inner calling. This is, of course, with many exceptions. The role of "teacher" is one of those exceptions. Some individuals sincerely feel called to instruct, discipline and guide the slaves that come under their hand. One can only hope that they themselves have experienced the lessons they seek to impart in some manner or the other, less a lack of empathy lead them into the realm of pure and sadistic abuse. Of course there is that role as well, the role of the "monster" as expressed by the Marquis de Sade. The "monster" seeks only an expression of power, will expressed without personal responsibilty through the destruction of another. I suspect that this is an honest archetype and has it's expression within the fairy tales of ogres, trolls and the like from ancient history.
As for myself, what role am I seeking to express in the world today? I am certainly a teacher, but more than that I am a "founder", an agent of cultural revolution. My heritage, my kin are the Byron's and Toulouse Latrec's of history. I glide along histories romantic thread seeking to create another utopia, another society, in which my kith and kin can escape the false and destructive nature of this modern world.

"But oh! that deep romantic chasm which slanted Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover! A savage place! as holy and enchanted As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted By woman wailing for her demon-lover!"
Poetry to live and breathe by. I saw a disturbing bit of "art" over the weekend while in SF. There is a travelling exhibition called "Body Worlds" now at the California Science Center in L.A. The exhibition presents a number of "plastinized" corpses that have been deconstructed and posed in a wide variety of scenes. Many of the bodies were donated by individuals who died of common causes such as liver disease, heart failure, anueyrisms etc. The interesting thing is the fact that while the exhibit does indeed bring up a more realistic view of our nature as biological organisms it also shows how no matter what, you will die.
The blackened lungs and diseased liver and kineys of an inverterate drinker and smoker are displayed in corpus next to the unborn fetus, still in the womb, of it's dead mother. That life is long or short is irrelevant, what is true is that it is finite and no matter what you do or don't indulge in in this life you will still end up just as dead as anyone else.
This provokes the question: Why deny yourself any pleasure in life? To live a few more years? What is the point in that when in the eyes of eternity a decade may as well be a nano-second. A life lived long and devoid of pleasure is hardly a life. Especially if you concieve of the possibility that all we are is sensory apparatus for some larger entity that we only know vaguely as "God" and even more vaguely as "Life". Why deny It any experience, why starve It for sense and sensibility? -L. |

Irony. It seems to me to be nothing short of a kind of cosmic irony that those who seek freedom, the free expression in reality of their deepest and darkest desires, do so through the enactment of polarized and exagerrated power relationships. Most especially, in this post-modern/early cybernetic age in which the power relations between men and women have shifted dramatically from the past, in which women have now the opportunity for equality and parity that there are those who reject these values in their personal lives. Of course there are a host of reasons and rationalizations, needs and desires that drive us into the choices we make but the irony is still there.
For me, as a relatively enlightened and progressive individual, my rationalization that allows me to do the truly horrible things I do to the willing are two-fold. First because it pleases me and interests me to attend to the journey of a sub. The element of free-will and individual choice relieves me of any moral responsibility for the subs predicament, I am but a somewhat diabolical facillitator. The other is my own rebelliousness and utter rejection of the "values" of our sick and misguided society. Modern American Christianity is a perversion that engenders hatred and contempt, that scars the soul and keeps people ignorant. The ethics of greed devalue our bodies and minds and gives rise to a wasteful and inefficient system of exploitation. I reject both. Paganism, the old gods of our ancestors rest and wait, listening for our voices to be raised again around the fires. The middle-eastern religions and their blood soaked proponents have murdered and butchered our ancestors into giving up their heritage, our heritage, and supplanted it with a religion of control, power and injustice. Maybe that is why I so love to play with girls from a religious background. My occult and paganistic beliefs and practices set up a fire in my belly when I have a christian girl under my thumb. She gets to suffer and I get to make her in wonderfully ironic twist the witch tortures the christian. Irony, Irony everywhere............ |

"Lo, twas a gala night within the lonesome latter years, an angel throng bewinged, bedight, in veils and drowned in tears.? Sit in a theater to see, a play of hopes and fears..."
I love that poem.? Especially on gray and rainy winter days when the damp chill of the air turns the redwoods black and gives rise to the swirling, dancing moonlit fog.
