So CollarMe hasn't been that exciting. It's still fun to see the different people around. I've yet to have an interesting conversation. For me that is the basis of even considering meeting anyone. I'm not much of a meet people online type of gal. That's okay with me. My cravings for new socialization have shrunk so I don't find it surprising that it's been harder to connect with anyone. Plus I feel that online people feel like its a good place to freely insult the things they cannot criticize in other aspects of their lives. That's okay. Whatever. It's not attractive to me. Maybe I'd do that too but I seek more three dimensional physical outlets. I have not yet discovered a proper practice for this but hey time is all I got. Here's to constant change in body and mind.

It makes me laugh when I get messages from people complaining about "pro" dommes or women asking for tributes in the form of gifts or money. Obviously these people haven't read Siddhartha by Herman Hesse and taken the time to contemplate the role of Kamala. While interpretations are always varied... here's an excerpt from one website:

Kamala represents Siddhartha’s foray into the world of lust and greed. Don’t go calling her Cruella de Vil just yet. Siddhartha willingly accepts Kamala as a teacher (remember, he usually doesn’t like teachers), and dives into the project of educating himself about sex with the vigor characteristic of his spiritual endeavors. Although Siddhartha ultimately becomes disillusioned with the emptiness of his life in the material world, he later cites Kamala as one of his primary teachers on his path to enlightenment. By helping Siddhartha to see the best of what the material world has to offer, Kamala helps Siddhartha realize that the material world isn’t enough to satisfy him. Their child proved to be the final, most difficult, but necessary test of Siddhartha’s spirituality. Siddhartha’s spirituality similarly benefited Kamala, who by the end of the novel, seems to have found relative peace, if not enlightenment. Although the bond between Siddhartha and Kamala is not transcendent love, it is mutually beneficial.
