hello everybody. my name is misery (that name was taken so i had to go with this one).
in my introductory post on the message boards i was asked to tell a little about myself so i did, and i guess i should do the same here as well.
there's not much to tell really. first, my name isn't really misery, that's just my nickname since i was a kid. you know the type, that starts out as a put down but ends up just being what everybody calls you.
other than that i'm pretty dull. i got into this lifestyle with my husband when i was 19. i was widowed 2 years ago and while i'm not over it by any means, life does go on, and i am just now poking my head back out into the world, and since i enjoyed kinky stuff with him, i thought i would fish these waters as well.
i like fishing, and hiking, and excruciatingly long bike rides. i don't like to read much, but i just love hearing stories. i can really get lost and carried away in a good storyteller's voice, sometimes i really resent the printing press for killing that art.
i don't watch much tv, its mostly garbage, but i do like the game of thrones series. i don't go to the movies very often because i don't like most of the things they make, i like quieter more intense dramatic movies, my fav is breaker morant. i think it is simply one of the best movies ever made.
musically i am the same way, i like quieter more intense dramatic music as well. things like johnny cash's american albums, or a lot of cowboy junkies stuff. my fav song is breathe (2 am) by anna nalick. that is the sort of thing i mean, not in your face but so full of real life it almost hurts.
some of my interests are poetry (that i do like reading), listening to audio books, russian history (my husband was of russian descent), and native american culture.
i'm really a homebody, i don't like going out very much, restaurants are fine, but i don't like bars or clubs. i don't drink and would prefer not to be involved with anybody who does (my dad was a heavy drinker, and it wasn't pleasant so i'd rather avoid any potential problems on that front).
i don't smoke either, so a smoke free home is a must as well.
wow, i'm being pretty demanding aren't i? :)
well there, that's me, like i said, pretty boring.
as far as what i'm looking for, well nothing at the moment as i have started to see somebody. wish me luck.
