About Miscellaneous
Don't mind me; I'm just here to amble around, see the sights, maybe chat a little. Perhaps even make a friend or two... and see how things develop...
Please don't be offended if I visit your profile but don't say anything, I tend to find it difficult to speak to new people (or anyone, sometimes).
So... who and what am I? I am many things.
I am somewhat changeable and often self-contradictory. I am not easily defined, at least not without a whole lifetime to do it in. I could sit here and list labels, but what do they mean?
About Miscellaneous:
I am attracted to and fall in love with a wide variety of people, and currently have several loving relationships. I believe honest, open communication is vital.
I don't like sex. For the most part, it's just not my thing.
I apparently flirt almost constantly (or so I am told), and often without realising I'm doing it.
I have difficulty with a lot of social situations... I often don't understand the 'rules' or find interactions daunting or tiring, even when enjoyable and deeply valued.
I like to push against the boundaries of opposing roles, concepts, or stereotypes until they blur together and form something new.
I enjoy humour in many forms - from the refined to the cheesy to the downright bizarre, and utterly silly.
I identify strongly with felines, and have always felt a closer bond with cats of all species than with the human race as a whole. Their world makes so much more sense than this one.
I can be many people - one day I might be a Victorian gentlemen, another day a playful kitten, or a loopy skater, a flaming queer or a barefoot scamp. I might be a quiet, confident tough-guy, I might be a frightened little boy. None of these is an act, but neither are they beyond my control.
I am very tactile and affectionate... except when I'm not. I sometimes have days when contact makes me uncomfortable for some reason, but the rest of the time I practically breathe hugs.
I don't believe that the way a person feels, or desires that they have, can be inherently wrong or immoral... it's what you do with it that matters.
I am currently fairly reclusive and sedentary, due to health-related difficulties, but am working on changing that. I am also underweight, for the same reasons.
Now, if you've read this far and my words still have your interest, you may well be someone I could quite enjoy chatting to. Please feel free to send me a message, ask me questions, and share your opinions. I am very hard to offend, so long as you are genuinely being friendly. But please be aware that it can take me a long time to answer messages sometimes (we're talking several days, or longer if I'm having a particularly busy time) because it is rather challenging for me. If it's been a few days and you haven't heard from me, feel free to send a gentle reminder.
Just to note - although this profile says I am seeking friends only, I am open to exploring the possibilities if I find myself connecting with someone.
