i want to add that i respond well to the paddle. i go out of my way to avoid it, yet i know i need it to keep me grounded. The harsh and merciless encounter with the paddle is what it took me years to realize was the medicine that heals me, however unpleasant.
i go out of my way to be free, yet i know i need control, to be told i am grounded, to have rules. i hated these in my youth and now i need them forced on me. Why do i need corner time as much as i despise it? Oh the paradox!
