There comes a time when one realizes that they are in the wrong place for all the right reasons.  Such was with me over the last five or six years, as it would come to be.  I had married someone who seemed to be a natural born submissive, and although I did what I could to help her understand my station in the lifestyle, and to find her path on this remarkable journey, it was just simply not meant to be.  During one of our many, MANY discussions, she had remarked that I live this "kink shit," and for her it was nothing more then just kinky sex.  It was at this point in our relationship I knew it would not last.  Many of my friends asked me, be it lifestyle or vanilla, if I would be willing to bend a bit to keep the marriage going.  Yes, I was willing to bend, but in no way shape or form was I willing to deny being me.  I couldn't, at any means, put on a mask to hide who I truly am.  Either I am accepted for me, or you'll just have to find someone else.  I have also been asked by those closest to me, "Is your lifestyle really that important to you?"  To which I ask them, "When you find a place, or group, or lifestyle in which you experience respect.  Honest to goodness respect from your peers not because of the car you drive, or the wealth of your purse, but because you are you.  Could you ever turn your back on that situation, just to continue living  a lie?"  No, I didn't think so.
