You ask the question "Does anyone on this site truly understand what ownership entails?????"
I believe that I have a good idea of what ownership is. However a submissive is not owned a slave is owned and not a submissive. A sub has the option of having safe words a slave does not have safe words. A sub has option to leave the master and there should be NO regrets since they are not owned. A slave gives themselves over to the Master completely holding back nothing.

A Master should be concerned wit a slaves health and maintenance of their body. If not agreed before hand a master doesn't even have to feed a submissive, they are not owned and the master has NO responsibility to take care of some thing he does not own. Like a rental car you drive it but do not have to change the oil.
