| I'm a 20 year-old opera singer. I've decided to be single and celibate for the time being, so I'm really not looking for anything at the moment apart from friendship. Even though age is just a number, I'm not really comfortable with an age gap of more than 10-12 years.
Let me start off by saying that by initiating contact with me, you are subjecting yourself to potential snark and ridicule by myself and my friends in the group Return To Sender. Please, I beg of you, be literate, polite and respectful. Please do not refer to me by any sort of terms of endearment (e.g. hun, sweetie, dear, babe/baby). Don't mistake my sarcasm and snark at your stupidity as rudeness. If I deem you rude, I see no reason to attempt to be polite.
Some may think me a bitch, but I promise you that I am really only rude to the people who skeeve me out. I have much stronger than normal intuitions about people and it never pays off to ignore them. Please don't think me rude if I want to rid myself of you because I'm creeped the fuck out by your being. :)
A very important PSA: I have an eating disorder. If you are writing to me to ask me how I dropped so much weight, stop now. If you're commenting on my photos to tell me that I'm fat/you like my belly/I'm thick, plump, etc. stop now. I'm trying to recover, so your weight-related comments can be really triggering. I would appreciate it very much if you'd respect that. If you choose to ignore this warning, I will bitch you out. Consider yourself warned.
If you do decide to message me, please use proper spelling and grammar, and please be respectful. Almost nothing pisses me off more than someone who can't write a complete sentence and/or is rude.
In your initial message, please mention something specific that you enjoyed about my profile, instead of the generic, "I really liked your profile," that I seem to get from people. Please be respectful and not ignorant if you choose to send me a message. Thanks.
