I AM

I am empathetic and intelligent.
I wonder if I'll ever really 'get it'.
I hear the clock ticking away.
I see the hurt around me.
I want to succeed.
I am curious and creative.

I pretend that I am fearless.
I feel like things are not as they seem.
I touch the lives of others.
I worry about my business and its future.
I cry when I don't get it right.
I am human and I have faults.

I understand a lot more than people give me credit for.
I say there is more to me than meets the eye.
I dream of being financially independent.
I try to be patient with things I don't understand.
I hope that some day I will figure myself out.
I am loved and I will be okay.

Well, I just deleted all my journal entries because they're all about a million years old.

Someday I'll write some more...
