Friends:

I'm dreaming of a swimming buddy, and maybe a portable bike for in the house. Something I can just get on, ten minutes at a time until i build up stamina again, and off and put away quickly. I'm really sucking at this whole losing weight thing, and it's heart breaking really. Most of my friends are younger, way more active and a lot happier with their lives than I am. I'd really like to get motivated and STAY motivated in 2013.

One of my friends here just bought a dress in a size 4 and she complained that the waist was too loose. Seriously? I want to feel some sympathy for her plight, but.. really? ugh. She weighs 65kg and she is convinced she is obese. Yep. 65kgs. I am double her weight, minus 15kgs. She's OBESE. Oh my fucking god. I am a fucking manatee then, if that is the case.

Thanksgiving was a riot! So much fun, all of us expats and the token frenchie. I might be a convert to home made breads especially after those amazing sweet potato rolls one of my friends made. That does make me wonder a bit, about why we don't bake turkey more often during the year. It's not like it's hard to do, yes it does require some time and attention but it's fairly easily done. So dang tasty!

Am I off base here? I mean, who doesn't like leftover turkey for soups and sandwiches?

There is nothing like a dose of brutal reality to snap one out of a pity party state. My dear friend's father was lost at sea and presumed dead, tonight, in Norway. My pathetic problems suddenly seem a helluva lot smaller now.  R.I.P. Kjell. You raised a fine man, and I will hug him a lot on the coming days for you.

I must also tell you that I am married, to a french man. He is the reason I came to France, for him and for a Dom/sub relationship. He actually has very little desire for control, and is almost strictly a sadist. We do not get along on that aspect of life, as I am not a painslut. I do not orgasm from pain of any type, but some painplay in scene is even enjoyable. He and I are, shall we say, at impasse.  It is a modern open relationship, and one I cannot change at this moment.  He is a good person, just not who he thought he was or represented himself as, and i was too stupid to realize that he has no desires to grow or meet me halfway in this BDSM things. I hope you can understand this, but if not that's fine, too.

Took this personality test: http://www.signalpatterns.com/psych_central/
Aesthetic

You appreciate art, beauty, and design; you know that they are not superficial but absolutely crucial to living the good life. You have good taste, and you're proud of it. Those with a high score on the "aesthetic" trait are often employed in literary or artistic professions, enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about the arts, reading, and travel.

You don't think it's pretentious to be moved by art and beauty. You're not one of those who believe it doesn't matter what something looks like as long as it does its job.

Original

You are constantly coming up with new ideas. For you, the world as it exists is just a jumping-off place; what's going on inside your mind is often more interesting than what's going on outside.

You don't feel that the road to success is to be a realist and stick to the program; you never stop yourself from coming up with new ideas or telling the world what you're thinking about.

Cooperative

You enjoy teamwork, play well with others, and prefer getting along to winning.

You're not compelled to win every contest nor to be right all the time.

Reckless

You tend to give in to your impulses and indulge your cravings. Rather than fight your emotions, you often do what comes naturally, which means occasionally overdoing it, sometimes even embarrassing yourself.

You are not good at resisting temptation and avoiding overindulgence; you are not the kind of person who doesn't regret anything you said or did.

Warm

You have a genuine interest in other people. You're a natural host, and are always thinking about how you can increase the happiness of those around you. When friends have problems or are in trouble, you're usually the first person they turn to for aid and comfort. Scoring high on the "warm" trait suggests that you are among those who enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.

You don't always say exactly what you're thinking; you don't like the idea of causing anyone pain because of your criticism.

Empathetic

You are in touch with your own feelings, which helps put you in touch with the feelings of others.

You don't buy the logic that your happiness comes ahead of everyone else's because unless you're happy you're incapable of making anyone else happy.

Innovative

You come up with a lot of ideas; if one doesn't work out, there's always another waiting in the wings. You often have interesting solutions to difficult problems. You're practically a one-person brainstorming session.

You are less interested changing the world than in dealing with things as they are. Unlike those who spend all their time trying to solve problems, you prefer to zero in on things that work and stick with them.

Intellectual

You are thoughtful, rational, and comfortable in the world of ideas. People find you interesting to talk to. You're the living embodiment of the saying "You learn something new every day." In general, those with a high score on the "intellectual" trait are employed in such fields as teaching and research, and are enthusiastic about reading, foreign films, and classical music.

You do not avoid abstract conversation, experimenting with new ideas, or studying new things. It bores you to stick to the straight and narrow of what you already know.

Sympathetic

You have a knack for knowing what's going on in the hearts and minds of those around you, without their having to tell you explicitly. People tend to turn to you with their problems because they know you care, and that you will likely offer good advice and a helping hand.

You do not feel that people with sad stories are just looking for attention, or have brought their problems upon themselves.

Giving

You enjoy helping others, lending a hand, providing emotional or material sustenance. You don't see taking care of others as an imposition but as a vital and important part of your life.

You're not the kind of person who runs out of patience for people in need, nor do you feel that treating people with kindness is bad because it insulates them from the harsh realities of life.

Made me laugh so hard:

Will you sell your underthings?
Socks and panties, skirts that cling.

I will not sell my underwear,
I will not sell a single pair.
I will not send it in the mail,
There will not be a bill of sale.

I r sub boi! Do me now.
Oh do me, do me! I'll tell you how.

I will not let you lick my boots,
I will not wear your latex suits,
I will not do you in the ass,
I will not do you, you lack class.

Dear kind and caring, wealthy stranger,
Did you know my life's in danger?
I will be your willing honey
If you'll just send me all your money.

I don't believe your tale of woe,
You must think I'm awfully slow.
I will not send by wire or paypal,
I will not send by credit, et al.

I do not want your creepy spam,
I do not want to be called ma'am,
I do not want to be your slut,
I do not want to see your nuts.

I do not want your spelling errors,
Your lack of grammar gives me terror.
I do not like your lack of tact,
Your creepy come-ons don't attract.

Why do you fill my mail with fail?
Your sad proposals are to no avail.
Please leave me be, dear Spam-I-Am.
You sadly failed my inbox exam.

Please,  do NOT contact me if you are married  if your significant other is not also in the lifestyle or totally agreeable to you meeting others for play.
I will not help you cheat on your wife.

BDSM is supposed to be enjoyable, otherwise we wouldn't do it. I get something from it, you get something from it and we both win. Balance.

No, I will not come to meet you for the first time wearing just a dress and no underwear or brassiere. No, I will NOT walk in public and take public transportation to and from your place half naked ALONE, on dark streets through rough neighborhoods. When I say that I will not, ever, do this as I do not feel comfortable doing that nor walking back home to my place at night alone... and you keep pushing the issue even stooping as low as to try to emotionally manipulate me into doing what you want?

You are no longer a potential Dom, you just became another stupid asshole who doesn't listen. If you can't respect something like the above issue so soon after beginning to talk to me, then what leads me to believe you will respect ANY of my limits? Not...much...

So sad, you seemed so cool. :( I value my life and my safety a lot more than I value your dominance.
