Well, here We are in 2006 and I am reading the proverb from My last entry to this journal. "A gem can not be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials". Ironically, this saying is appropriate to My life but for totally different reasons. There is currently a rock in My life that desires to be a diamond, and the most brilliant diamond but I spend a great deal of time determining the true reasons for his desire to be a "gem". Time will tell as We all know.

Well. It seems there is a trip to the UK on My agenda for the near future. With luck I will be on My way to England on 2/7 to visit that lil imp. smile. If nothing else, I anticipate a wonderful time with a wonderful person,, but I actually think it could end up being far more.

Returned from Black Rose 17 in New Carrollton Maryland. Attended so many good workshops and gained alot of different perspectives and so much information. Some issues of communication with My girl and not to mention the stress of her working with a vendor, both being so tired. It did bring up issues for Me to cover in the future.

First of November and things are still going really well. inocent and My daughter hit it off and We all had a great time over dinner this past week. Smile, My daughter told Me that inocent was a keeper. While We were all together inocent and I signed a 3 month contract, that will give us further time to explore our compatibility and also give her time to meetMy significant other. It was the main condition to O/our relationship, she must get along with all the important people in My life. This past weekend W/we attended a lifestyle halloween party on Saturday. It was a really good time and allowed her more time with some of My friends. It went wonderfully and I shared her with our host for some playtime on Sunday. I think that a goodtime was had by all.

Things are still progressing nicely, and inocent made Me a lovely dinner on My birthday about a week ago complete with a fabulous french maid outfit. And this past Saturday W/we went to a nice restaurant nearby for excellent meal and O/our usual long conversation, smile. Of course, you would have to ask her about dessert, (ewg). Tomorrow she will be meeting My daughter and with luck that will go smoothly as well leaving only the meeting with MY Significant other left to schedule and get through. Poor girl has been so stressed. I have told her that I am prepared to set up a 3 month contract but instead of securing things for her it seems to have added to her insecurity. Forever it seems I am reminding her to have a bit of faith and trust. I can't be held accountable for the past actions of others although I do have to deal with her fears of making unforgiveable errors. I think only time can help with that.

Saturday Evening turned out even better than expected. Dinner with a mixed crowd of Dominants/submissives and alot of humor. I had a great time, and then off to a Bdsm space. And to say that inocent looked incredible in her black slinky dress is a understatement. I really enjoyed the time with her friends but moreso even with her. She is a very special person even though she has her doubts.

Wednesday was our 1st time at her home and some private play time. I felt it was mutually enjoyable and any concerns I might have felt regarding differing experience have receeded slightly. Time of course will tell but I really have no doubts about her feeling of commitment and so many things about this make it potentially a long term relationship, of course there is still the meeting of the significant others in My life but I have positive feelings about that as well. Once that is done, W/we can set in motion expectations of real life duties and responsibilites around My home as well as being able to plan O/our lifestyle obligations and social activities.

Things have been going well, she and I attended two functions this past weekend and while one showed her that she had a few things to brush up on, the 2nd night went very well even though there was the added stress of meeting My Mentor Mistress Sly. Right now I am feeling very positive about the relationship. Looking forward to seeing what the next few weeks bring. We both will be attending Black Rose although the plans had been made long b4 even meeting. I am looking forward to it as much as she I think. I enjoy her very open heartedness. Although it makes Me extremely protective of her.

After an additional vanilla meeting, (movie, etc.) the submissive I have been interviewing will be attending a lifestyle function together. Ironically enough, she will be participating in a formal table service workshop before the event, and I will be one of the Dominants being served. Trial by fire and then some. I think it should be very interesting.

Had coffee with potential submissive on Thursday,, coffee that lasted for over 4 hours. Interesting conversation, similar views, flexible in many aspects. I have only one reservation in regards to this person which W/we have discussed. At this point, things are strictly vanilla,, how can you want to submit to someone without actually knowing them,, as well as I need to decide how good a fit this could be. There are several events in the coming weeks which should give Me a good idea how well the fit would be in a non-vanilla venue. Patience is a virtue, and highly underappreciated.

Although I have been annoyed with the lack of true submissives, I do have to say that I have come accross a few genuine people, no they might have not been a match but truly good people who also deserve the right Master/Mistress. Amazingly enough they have encountered the same posers, etc who really don't understand what it is that they are looking for. So many think they want a true submissive or true Dominant but when you boil it all down, they do come to the same conclusion that to them it is just a means to a end, their sexual gratification. There is nothing wrong with that,, and I do believe that some are really not aware of their true focus until you get into in-depth conversation. I do not get sexual gratification from the ownership of another, I get a far more important reward, I help someone I care about be the person that THEY desire to be, and it allows Me to be the person I NEED to be. Although I do enjoy bringing enjoyment to others whatever their kink,, but as a reward not a punishment. How can manipulation to get punished be considered a form of honesty? It can't as far as I am concerned.

The continuing saga, although I will say that possibilites seems to come from areas you might never have contemplated. My B/D education continues, My Mentor having shown Me how to make canes and as well as working on My accuracy with the flogger. Who knew that continuing education could be so rewarding? Very much coming to the conclusion that the sub I am desiring is not really someone who can be searched for, he/she will find Me. REPEAT: for those who have not read previous journal enteries. Since last entry, I have met a few other male submissives, possible fit with one of them however the rest were very much about the sexual aspects of the situation. WAKE UP MEN !!! If your looking for the sexual aspects then truly you have no idea what I am looking for. I enjoy the D/s lifestyle, that is what is important to Me, anything else is really not of extreme value. Sex can be had anywhere , and there are men everywhere who just want their bottoms beat, etc etc. Not My focus.

Where are the real time submissives? I definately feel they ARE NOT ONLINE ANYWHERE !!! While I am becoming far more active in the New England BDSM community,,, any real subs (real time) met are already collared. Patience is a virtue so they say,,, however patience is wearing thin with those posers wasting My time. I have been so busy the past few days that I haven't had time to think, and frankly convinces Me more that I deserve a true submissive to take some of the load off of My Overworked and unrubbed shoulders. How aggravating it is to reply to someone's email and then they do not have the courtesy/respect to do the same even after THEY INITIATED CONTACT. A certain amount of mutual respect is essential in any relationship and it says so much when the person can not even handle email etiquette. On the pleasanter side I have met 4 interesting prospects and We shall all continue to talk and explore what can be offered. Amazing how surprized some are when told the first discussions are informal and that they should feel free to say what they feel opposed to what they "hope I want them to say". If We are a fit there is plenty of time to contemplate My happiness but I will never tolerate ANYONE who misleads by outright lies or OMISSION.

A few potential subs have come forward, all male. Definately much rarer to hear from females online. Irony is that in real time submissive women find Me while submissive men stay very much in the background almost afraid to be noticed. Online the women say very little but the men clamor to be noticed.

WEll, I have been here a week and while ideally looking for a female submissive I have gotten MANY responses from males. I am considering it but no decisions, I am in NO RUSH.
