Wisdom comes from learning experiences over the years. I hate to admit my age, and hate even more that I'm starting to actually express and have a mature attitude here and there. I just feel like such a kill-joy / buzz-kill some days.  --- Ah, I miss the days of youth when non-monogymy had the form of reckless lack of commitment and being with any / everyone that came across my path without sufficient regard for safe, sane, consentual...  --- Once upon a while, I even had less regard for my partner's feelings than I had for my own emotional health. My life was anything but drama free, and everything was about "fun".  --- Times change, as have I...  --- In a healthy long-term, stable poly relationship, communication is the cornerstone, and opening up / expressing the things in each others lives freely.  --- If something "might be an issue" even the remote chance, one had best discuss it up front / openly. I know I made more than just my current partner jealous before with reckless, careless behavior.  --- The moral of the story: If the poly life and associated energies / learning experiences aren't helping you and your primary (your main, close partner) then it all amounts to drama, resentment and jealousy (...and helps noone involved become a better person)
