I GET TO CHOOSE...

One of the things we subs get to use our own 'control' over is the power of choice - we choose Whom we will serve. I am not obliged to respond to every so-called Dom who writes to me, nor to pursue those who do not respect the requests (read: limits) in my profile. Whether it be geographic, physical or other specifications, if You choose not to comply with the instructions, i can select a similar option: delete.

Sorry to be so blunt, but receiving so many one-liners with high expectations, or sincere responses from those who appear to not have taken the time to read my profile, makes it that much more difficult and time-consuming to 'weed through' and follow up with those who do. I am sincere in my desires and in my search. What's a subbie to do??

*Sighs and goes back to click-and-delete, click-and-save, etc. etc.*

More thoughts on re-entering the world of D/s... I get sooo many responses from unhappily married men who want "something on the side." And I can empathize, because that was my predicament before ending my marriage last year. For many years it had been unsatisfying emotionally and sexually, so at first I got my needs met outside the relationship, justifying it to myself. But the deception wore on me so much that I gained weight, drank too much and isolated myself from friends and family. I finally took a look at myself, got some things under control and took responsibility for my own happiness.

Having done that, I find myself unwilling to "settle" for being the Other Woman now that I am single. However I can't judge them too harshly because I can relate. I have the ability to compartmentalize, to separate love from lust, and keep my emotions in check. Now that I'm free to explore the many dimensions of D/s, I may or may not ready to find "the One." I want to plaaaayyyy!! ;)

I recently joked to some friends in the lifestyle that I could be happy as a 'kept woman.' To find a Dom who has the freedom to visit regularly, go out on 'dates' as well as to sex clubs, and even monetary contributions... (Not looking for someone to support me, but for extras, gifts, etc.)

Would this be a realistic scenario?? What is it worth for You to have a classy, sexy, discreet sub at Your beck & call? One who will share in-depth conversation, listen to Your concerns and offer the highest regard for the place of Your family and responsiblities in Your life?? And who will do ANYthing to please You, who has few limits and even fewer inhibitions?! Hmmmm...

This is just a thought, not a 'definite.'  I'm not a ho or a pro by any means (and like it says in my profile, no Barbie either), but a sophisticated female who knows what she brings to the table... and wonders what it might be worth to the right Person.
