I am more convinced than ever that the surest sign a "Domme" is not real is that she insists on being paid. Here is my reply to a "Domme" who asked (paraphrasing) "Why would I Domme you if not for money.... being a Domme costs me money, so pay me!":
"Because it implies you get nothing from it but pay. People do all sorts of things in life because they enjoy it... they are not paid. I have many avocations, all of which cost money. I do them because I enjoy them, they amuse me, or whatever. The idea that this is something you REALLY like, is a "lifestyle," yet you must be paid to do it is absurd. The next time I go play golf with a friend I'll inform him he has to pay me because my clubs, clothes, shoes all cost me money and because my time is valuable and I've spent hours practicing.
In the end, Dommes who insist on getting paid are doing it for the money... that makes you my employee and you can not be truly dominant over me if you are my employee. I hold the power in the end.... to cut off your money (what you are really seeking)."
