About fairydust
There was a fairy that fell in love with a human. she would watch Him from afar. Every night she would sit outside His window and sing a song of her heart. He would hear this song and was touched by the beauty of the sound whispering like the sweetest of breezes against His ears, His mind and in His spirit.
One night the fairy snuck into His room through the open window. she sang to Him as He slept. He awoke to the sound of her singing, thinking it a dream.
The next night she again snuck through His window to sing to Him. But He was waiting for her. He captured her and put her into a song birds cage. Thinking to keep her for His very own.
It soon became aparent that He did not share her regard for Him. This saddened her.
Every night she would sing the song of her heart. A song of longing, of devotion. A song that soon became tinged with her sadness that He did not return her feelings.
One night, while He slept, she used her magic dust to unlock the door of the cage that He had put her in. she left never to sing to Him again. she returned to the mists her song stopped, her spirit fading.
When He awoke and found that His fairy was gone. He realized the mistake He had made. He searched for her for the rest of His life. Never finding her, never feeling whole again. Forever feeling the loss and the aching knowledge of what could have been.
