About ExceterMiles
My name is Exceter Miles. I also go by Hauptsturmfuhrer for when I do public/private play adorned in my SS-Officer attire.
I have researched and immersed myself in the style since early 2009 and have been heavily involved with the scene since mid-February of 2009. I was very briefly mentored by The Broken Door's Dom, Professor, though that was cut short due to the differences in creative viewpoints and approach to the scene protocol, as well as significant conflicts of interest. However, these conflicts and misunderstandings have been settled. I proudly completed my training through the guidance of Master D and (previously known as) Mistress Ice mid-2010. Though my knowledge and skills are significantly adept, I am still seeking further guidance and development from seasoned Doms and Dommes to further shape and sharpen my skillsets. The way I see it, we must never stop striving to better what we know and learn what we don't.
During my post-apprenticeship studies, I avidly learned the protocols, moral codes, and etiquette of the scene from established Doms and Dommes such as Master Liam and Sir Nik, the wonderful Mistress O and Mother Tink, as well as performed with Dark Phoenix to help hone in my skills as a performer. I was an active member of the lifestyle/community and owned/co-operated the family/Performance Troupe "The OtherWorld" with Lady Ravyn, which has unfortunately disbanded in early 2011 due to all members having to take leave for job/career reasons.
My personal experience in performance as a Switch was through my submission to Broken Door's former Domme, Mistress Ice, as well as the CEO, Master D. My public performances as a Top and Bottom were at Ruin, Fetish Nation, HELL, BatCave, and KGB with "The OtherWorld" family.
Within the lifestyle, I am always looking for play/experiment/pet/submissive partners for private/public play or training/teaching sessions. I am very fond of the tactile touch of skin-on-skin contact, therefore, my style of Scene Play is more sensual/erotic than brutal/sadistic, though heavier play is an option I'm happy to honor by request. My kinbaku/shibari (Japanese artform of rope bondage) skills are intermediate but I am studying and practicing to achieve more complex knot work and immobilization through the SoCal Shibari group. I am also an active and regular participant in Dr. Susan Block's Radio Show, sharing my knowledge and experience in the subjects of BDSM, Fetish, Polyamory, and everything in between, as well as performing for their after show parties.
Outside of the lifestyle, I am a graphic designer, computer technician, and a certified Photographer, Cinematographer, Editor and Sound Designer. I am also creating a clothing line/style called "FuturPhase" targeted toward the CyberPunk/Industrial scene. Currently, I am the Chief Editor at Caballero Video, Assence Films, and OGEE Films specializing in trailers, censoring, capturing, editing, and archiving adult features.
As a point of reference to my approach to the Scene and the Lifestyle, I want to make clear my understanding and my core principles of my participation. I strictly follow the philosophy that the scene is based on 3 CRUCIAL principles: NEGOTIATION, RESPECT, AND CONSENSUAL SERVITUDE.
1. NEGOTIATION- No act or play is to be performed unless previously negotiated and a mutual understanding is reached between the Top and the bottom (Dom and submissive). This establishes trust and SAFETY. Remember, SAFETY is the most important aspect of every session.
2. RESPECT- There MUST be a level of respect shared equally between the Top and the bottom. The scene is about Power Exchange and unless a certain level of respect is attained, there will be conflicts present.
3. CONSENSUAL SERVITUDE- As a Dom, I understand that it is not I who possess the control, it is the submissive. It is and will always be the submissive who has the final say. They are surrendering the control to their Dominant because it is their choice. We, as the Dominant, have the responsibility to help our submissives to develop a self-empowerment or self-understanding without causing any harm to their psyche by forcing our desires on to them without their consent or desire. Should the submissive desire to be stripped of all their freedom and control over their life, ONLY THEN are we allowed to do so.
These are the core principles and the building blocks of my role as a Dominant. When in a session with me, play with the confidence that I strictly follow this moral/principle code in order to make the experience fun, SAFE, RESPECTFUL, and ABOVE ALL, CONSENSUAL.
To me, "NO" WILL ALWAYS MEAN "NO".
