Good afternoon to all my friends and contacts here. I woke up this morning and felt inspired to write this.

I woke up this morning with a smile on my face and feeling happy as I do most mornings. People sometimes ask me how I'm able to do that despite having experienced so much loss within the first 12 years of my having moved to Houston.

When I first moved here I was walking just fine without a problem and within two years I was suddenly in a wheelchair. And within the next 10 year, like the singer who once sang the song "ironic" (Alanis Morissette), I found it incredibly ironic that I slowly began to lose the use of my left arm and hand. What's so ironic about that is that I'm left-handed.

I am slowly losing the use of my bodily functions due to the devastating effects of the disease that afflicts my body called Multiple Sclerosis. But I wake up happy and smiling most days, because the good Lord found it within his good graces to allow me another chance to open my eyes, breathe and witness another glorious day in his world. And what keeps me smiling and in a good mood is that I have another chance to see another face, make them smile and possibly make them even laugh by telling them a joke or something. At least to me that's what life is about, is to be happy and to make others happy around you in one way or another. So don't let the troubles of the world weigh you down. All you have to do is see a person and make them smile by simply giving them a smile or even telling them a joke and getting a laugh out of them. That's whatmakes my day worth living and keeps a smile on my face. Not to mentionthe fact that I get to live a nearly.perfect life. I mean think about it, I getto lay in bed all day, watch TV all day and night and still collect a check every month. LOL, So like the great Bob Marley and Bobby McFerrin once sang "Don't Worry Be Happy". :)
