I'm truly a switch, but only engaged as either a submissive or dominant at any given point. For instance, if I find someone with whom I'm submissive, I am 100% submissive and my other "side" is completely subdued. Same thing happens in the opposite scenario, and it truly depends on the other person's demeanor as to which side I am. I hope this is helpful in explaining why I'm not your normal "confused" switch.
