I am reasonably well read, and have traveled a fair amount. I'm not into fine dining, preferring to picnic and then sit in a coffee house and talk. I'd camp out in my van just as soon as stay at the Hilton.

History is an interest of mine. Observing how people endured hard times in the past gives me a sense of how I'd survive in a crisis. My family is about as flawed as anyone else's, but I care deeply for each of them. My life hasn't been "Norman Rockwell" ...though I sometimes like to think of it that way (delusional, I know). I grew up in a “blended” family (aka "broken" - I love euphemisms).

My friends run the gamut from deeply religious (some things I agree with & some I don't) to just a few "nuts" I've picked up along the way; but each means a lot to me. For music I can listen to anything from Bluegrass to Swing to Classical to Rock (not into rap or opera); but sometimes the music of silence is more important to me, often when shared with good company.
