I don't think that a slave's worth as a human being is less than that of her master. Instead, the two have different and unequal roles. The master's role is to guide, protect, and lead. The slave's role is to support, endure, and of course to submit.

Both parties must truly commit to this. Fundamentally, if both the master and the slave do not truly understand this, then there is no hope of a lasting and fulfilling relationship. To that end, both must be honest to and with each other at all times, and respect the roles that the other must fill (yes, I think that both must respect each other). The master must respect the decision of his slave to submit fully to his will, and he must accept all the responsibilities that are entailed with that.

Submission is a gift, just as a master's care and attention are a gift. Intelligence in a slave is great thing. A slave who is intelligent can anticipate her master's needs. An intelligent slave will politely ask for punishment, rather than disobey to receive it. I am seeking only intelligent slaves.
