I wonder why subs never make the first contact? is it because the fear of rejection is so great, or because they feel it is up to the Dom to find them?

Or do they not think it is their responsibility.

If you are one of those subs who complains about the abundance of 'fakes' maybe you should take some responsibility and not sit idley by waiting for the Dom to contact you.

First contact is a minefield to negotiate at the best of times, but first and foremost there has to be a point of interest, something which grabs your attention, a phrase, a picture.

Sometimes all it takes is a 'hello' and you suddenly have the world at your feet.

So remember, contact is a two way thing, especially first contact.

I have noticed there appears to be a plethora of cut and paste mails being posted in peoples journal, effectively 'naming and shaming' private correspondences.

I am not sure if this is in line with Cm's terms, i will say nasty mails are like arseholes, we've all got them... Yes even us Doms, there are small minded people out there who feel its appropriate to just send one line mails full of abuse and vitriol.

but to those who post the mails in their journals, while you may feel you are claiming the moral high ground, to my mind you are no better than those small minded people due to one very basic principle... You are breaking a confidence, that is what mails are all about, a private message to another individual, think of it in these terms, you send someone a letter of complaint and they disagree with your complaint... they then make copies of this letter of you bitching about them and paste them on lamp posts in your street.

To me there is no difference between the two actions, they are both designed to make people point and laugh at you in the street and are a breach of confidentiality.

So please think twice before you post the arseholes mail in your journal, it may well have a negative effect on how you are viewed also.
