I kept looking up
but I couldn't find heaven.
The roving clouds evaded me,
and when I tossed my dreams
to the stars each night,
they said, "Mercy be!"
How was I to know that
heaven was right here
on the ground?
For when I looked in your eyes,
paradise was found.

I feel it.
I can feel.
You make me sit.
You make me kneel.
“PLEASE!” I beg.
I can’t see.
I grab your leg.
You beg for me.
“NO!”
You start to smile.
Down I go.
It takes a while.
It's really warm.
You start to sweat.
A thunder storm,
The sickening wet.
The smell will seek,
For a place to hide.
My arms are weak,
I have no pride.
“TAKE IT B**CH!”
You yell at me.
“DON’T BE A SNITCH!”
I cry, I plea.
As my dad leaves,
I think about our game.
With white on my sleeves,
I know tomorrow will be the same.
