Frequently Imagined Fears (FIFs) and misconceptions in regards to play parties
That I have to participate. At play-parties there is absolutely, positively NO pressure to play at all. You don't have to be naked, you don't have to watch you don't have to do anything. Many of our guests never play or disrobe, they just enjoy socializing, making friends and the food!
People will just come up and grab me. Rule #1 is to ask before touching and that no means no. Making unwelcome advances is the fastest way to get kicked out of a play party, so no one does it. In the rare event that somebody does break the rules, inform the hosts and they will be dealt with immediately.
All the women there will look like Barbie dolls and the guys will be hung like horses - I'm too ashamed to get naked. Our guests are real people in all shapes, sizes, races, (legal) ages, D/s relationships, professions, genders/transitions and orientations. Some are even handicapped - but nothing stops them from getting their kink on! But even still, nudity is not mandatory - we want you to be comfortable.
It'll be a sausage-fest and the women won't want to play. Actually, at most parties we don't have enough men to go around! The women are for the most part hott and horny and get very disappointed when there's not enough action. We used to try to limit the number of single men to keep the male-to-female ratio balanced, but typically men are very timid and end up chickening out and flaking on RSVPs, so unfortunately that thins the herd for us. For example, at our Valentine's play party 2/11/12 we had 23 - count em -23 guys make RSVPs by phone that same day and not show up. There were quite a few unsatisfied women that night and your House Mistress here ended up masturbating alone in the bathroom cos she couldn't get any play.
I want a guarantee that I'll get play. There are no guarantees, this is a play-party, not a brothel. People play when and with whom they mutually desire. Furthermore, if someone enters with that sense of entitlement it'll be a major turn-off that will result in self-cockblockery.
I'm monogamous and don't want to have to play with anyone else or have anyone be all over my partner. Again, no pressure and no means no. Many monogamous couples come and enjoy watching and being watched or just making friends.
Male bisexuality will get me kicked out or ostracized. We welcome male-on-male play, especially on our Bi the Way monthly play party! We believe GLBT rights are for everybody; not just girls-gone-wild girls solely for the visual pleasure of straight guys. This is America here folks.
But I don't want to have to see male-on-male or TG/CD play. It really doesn't happen that frequently and we do have the special Bi the Way night devoted to bi males and transgendered gurlz and bois. But we're certainly not going to stop male-on-male play or refuse entrance to TGurlz. If a scene makes you uncomfortable, don't watch. We have multiple rooms. Hell, there's alot of straight people I don't want to see shag - but I won't disrupt the party or leave because of it :P
BDSM is brutal and painful and scary. BDSM can be very gentle and sensual - not always hard-core at all. The tops play according to the bottom's tolerance levels, tastes, physicalities etc. And BDSM isn't just about spanking and whipping; it can include delicate sensory play and touch, light bondage and fetishes that have nothing to do with impact. When one gets a pro-session with one or both of our House Dominas; limits, medical conditions, phobias, likes and dislikes are discussed in detail. Safewords and the 'red, yellow, green' system are enforced and communication is constant. The bottom's safety and enjoyment come first always.
The house donation is expensive. Shop around - our donatons are $60 for single males, $40 for couples, $90 for a pair of guys and single ladies are free. And we charge no membership fee. At nearby Freedom Acres couples are $80 and the one day a week that they do allow single men, their admission is $125 plus a membership fee. Plus your donation covers food, soft drinks & bottled water, fresh sheets and towels, hot tub, party favors and use of toys. We do have alot of overhead here! And where else can you enjoy a night on the town for less than $40?
If I go to a party I may be recognized and outed. I can't risk that cos I'm a professional/parent/church-goer. Discretion is our #2 rule here. Another way to get banned from a play party is to bust someone. We are of all professions and lifestyles and we take care of our own. Scene names are respected and non-consensual photography is strictly forbidden. And anyone who could bust you could just as easily be busted themselves for being here!
