It's certainly flattering to receive those one sentence messages telling me how hot I am - flattering, yes, but entirely unnecessary... as if I don't know how hot I am! - but if you are seriously interested in getting to know me in any meaningful way whatsoever (you can decide what "meaningful" means) then properly introduce yourself, be polite, be open and honest, and tell me a bit about yourself... in other words, give me enough to want to respond, OK?
