I'm pretty smart. Having access to the Internet for the better part of 20 years has allowed me to amass a lot of information. I look for ways to share it with the world. Sometimes it's on a large scale - like when I author a book or speak to hundreds at an industry conference - but really I prefer the more intimate forms of cocktail party banter and Trivial Pursuit.

I'm in the best shape of my life. Many moons ago I was "Army Strong", but several years at a desk job stole it from me. I've gotten it back by having the self-discipline to regularly work out at a boxing gym, follow the paleo diet, and adopt more active hobbies.

I have a great job. It challenges me and I feel like I'm doing some of my life's best work as a respected engineer at the world's most admired company. My work involves roughly 10-15 days of travel each month, typically mid-week. I like exploring a random part of America and then escaping a few days later. There are a few places I go repeatedly, like San Francisco, DC, and NYC; otherwise I work from home.
