If you are who I think you are, then I understand why you are here. While I might not know all of your motivations, follow along and let’s see if I’m closer to the mark than you might think. You’re a submissive. There is a side of you that many would consider “dark" but I’m here to tell you that there is nothing dark about it. You take pleasure in servitude…in being told what to do and doing it. You often expect to be punished if you do not comply or demonstrate anything but complete obedience. Being pinned, or bound holds no fear for you but instead, makes you feel liberated. A hand gripped tightly in your hair is to be desired. You spend a great deal of time looking for a Dom, longing to give yourself to him, longing to be used by him…but you harbor a secret desire to be cherished for it as well. When you rise from your knees, the salty taste of your master still in your mouth or the feeling of his seed running down the inside of your legs, or even dripping from your anus, you feel complete for a while. The last powerful thrust of your Dom’s hips as he fills you and the guttural sound of his final grunt is all the reward you seek. These things make you “strange” to others. They cannot understand how, in this age of enlightenment, you can give up your “freedom” this way.mmHow can you place yourself in such slavery to a man? You must be flawed in some way…yes? No…you are not. To begin understanding this phenomenon, you must accept a central premise. It is one that, in our hubris, we strive to deny but it is no less a fact for all of that. We are animals. I don’t mean that as the derogatory colloquialism we so often hear these days, I mean in the very natural and even clinical sense of the word. We are animals. More than that, we are social animals, as much as any mammal you’ve ever seen on the discovery channel. Even those among us who characterize themselves as independent or even introverted need human contact. Humans, are very much pack animals and there are many traits that come along with this designation. Among them, is the natural order imprinted in every one of our cells…a striving to procreate in the most efficient way possible to ensure the survival of our species. This need drives us to establish an order, so that the very best of us will pass on their traits while the weaker of us will use their abilities to support the pack. In short, we have both Alpha males and Alpha females. We often misunderstand both of these roles and we often misidentify people we think might be in them. We understand instinctually, that Alpha males are territorial, powerful, competitive, cunning and independent. They are also leaders, and often disciplinarians of their pack. All other males seek to be the Alpha but will either submit to him in the end or fight him for position, be defeated, and exiled. These exiled want-to-be-Alpha males are often true loaners who harbor a mean and abusive streak and are, in actuality, weak of will and purpose. We often see this manifested in your classic leather wearing, mutton-chopped, chain wielding pretend-dom. These are not Alpha’s but they will gladly beat you because they like inflicting pain on those weaker than themselves. Sadly, many subs find themselves with these men. True Alphas do not abuse for the sake of pain. They discipline as needed to get the behavior they want but they also cherish their mates—the Alpha females. Of particular interest to us, is the Alpha female. She is often extremely competent in every day life. Indeed, the pack depends on her strength. She is often among the brightest of the pack but she, like all pack members seeks leadership. She seeks to serve the Alpha male. In his presence, she gives over all responsibility. She responds to his needs with enthusiasm and assumes any position he wants and allows, in fact desires, his discipline and his penetration. In satisfying the Alpha male, she satisfies the needs of the pack and the species-as well as herself. She performs the most valuable service of all the females and in real pack life, she is praised by all for her success as the Alpha female. And so it is that we confuse submissive with doormat, Dom with abuser, and servitude with ineptitude. Know that there are true Alpha males looking for you—I am one of them. Strong in body and mind, secure in my leadership. I will take what I want from you, as often as I like, in any way that I like and I will be quick to punish you when you are out of line but I will also cherish you.
