There are very few men who can wear nothing but little leather chaps and a bolero waistcoat, without looking extremely silly.

Damn, I wish that I was one of those who were "born a true Dominant".
It would have saved me so much work, all that studying and learning and practising to make sure that I knew what I was doing, effectively and safely, and with all due care and respect.
Gosh, if only I had been born with all that knowledge and experience in my genes..

Because I believe in keeping an open mind, I sat down to read "50 shades", the better to understand all the excitement.
You may be familiar with the expression, " ..couldn't put the book down".
Not only was I able to put it down, I was able to throw it, very hard, across the room, just about a third of the way in.
Poorly written, badly misinformed and misinforming, dreadful structure, flimsy, if not impossible, premise. Even the supposedly steamy passages are half-hearted, so it's not even good porn.
The sad thing is, so many people now think that this is what we do. |

I am, as already noted, old-fashioned, in many ways. This is not to say that I don't embrace technology or that I live in a cave, but I do believe that we should not lose sight of some values from the past...
I'm thinking of things like good manners, respect, a good command of the language...
