Have you ever dreamed of living in a repressive authoritatian country? Cold war Russia, perhaps, or modern-day North Korea? I am the "Leader" of a tiny little "country". Because of its small size - a handful of houses and other bits of land - it has escaped the notice of the international diplomatic community.
This suits us rather well, because the Universal Declaration of Human Rights frowns on "slavery and the slave trade" and takes a dim view of "torture or... cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment".
And unlike those losers Stalin and Kim Jong-Il, I can actually afford to feed and clothe my citizens!
(*) I'll be working in mainland Europe for the rest of 2011, so I don't plan to start recruiting seriously until the New Year. |
