It had been a cold month in the quiet college town, as Christmas approached the weather got even colder. Amanda, a pre-law student eagerly awaited her college graduation with nerve racking antisipation. What was her new life to bring? I haven't written a journal entry in a while but i thoughti would update. I haven't been on a lot lately, especially in October and November because of the sudden illness and passing of my grandfather. I miss him terribly each day. However, what hurts the most is Christmas was his favorite holiday.
Finally, I can't believe I it had to come to this but here goes:
Ok...I thought my profile was clear but apparently it has not been, especially within the last few weeks. ALL MALES THIS MESSAGE IS FOR YOU... What an interesting weekend...!
It started off wonderfully...my family and I and a good friend went to see Pirates of the Carribean. I hadn't been to this particular movie theater for a bit so it was alot fun, although I probally won't go again for a while. For myself, good friend and nieces...not including my brothers and sister in laws...movie tickets were just about $45... thats alot of money...jeeze in the good old days you could go see a movie for $.10 and have popcorn and a soda. I am not going to get into what I spent on popcorn, soda and candy for us. During the middle of the movie I got several texts...yes I left my cell phone on...and I had on silence. Apparently people who I considered friends had been using me for money and the friendship was just to get money and at other friends. So I had a miserable nights sleep, cried alot but what else is new. Today will be better, just finished planting some flowers on the front walk, and I got my car washed. Hopefully the day will feel better, and I can get a chance to out and take some pictures to post on my profile.
A final note, a few weeks ago we celebrated Memorial Day...and I want to say thank you to those serving including my own father, brother and uncle who protect the freedom and love of this greatful nation. |
