6 Years since my last journal entry...
I'll talk about homes and decorating today. I recently bought a flat and am doing it up room by room.
Overall theme is going to be modern/minimalist/scandanavian. That doesn't mean I'm going to buy everything from Ikea... |

My latest food adventure was making Sourdough.
You do not add yeast it, it ferments natuarally and rises due to the yeasts in the air.
I followed the River Cottage recipe: http://www.rivercottage.net/recipes/river-cottage-sourdough
You just mix flour with water and let it ferment. You feed it a bit more every day and it eventually starts smelling sort of sweet. A bit like rotten fruit ha.
You use this as a base and add loads more flour and let it prove and whack it in the oven.
The bread is quite solid and hard, and is more the type you have with butter purely for the taste. It does taste a bit sour and is really addictive!! |

Lovely pasta salad with penne pasta, roasted tomatoes, olives and onions.
Mix together with olive oil, salt, pepper some fresh basil and crumble loads of feta in.
Eat it hot. |

Just made a very quick Lamb Rogan Josh using the recipe in the link below.
It felt a bit gritty though, which was probably because it wasnt cooking very long. It needed to be on hours really.
