Since the beginning of my time understanding the Gorean lifestyle, a few characteristics have been preached to me over and over again as to what it means to be a Gorean Master. Master Arcane was the man who educated me on the lifestyle and mentored me. I met him online and he reached out across this vast wasteland of data and opened my eyes to more then just an online role playing game. More then just bedroom playtime. He showed me something that was really useful in my life. I do try to do my best to live up to these characteristics. Sometimes I fall short, other times I hit the nail on the head.

For those of you whom want to know more about me, here is how I judge and hold my life accountable.

1. Honor.. in all

2. Dominance.. of himself and of those who depend on his command

3. Consistency.. in his dealings with free persons and slaves

4. Strength.. to not be swayed from his principles

5. Self-assured.. not dependent on others for approval

6. Curiosity.. to delve into the individual

7. Wisdom.. to understand what curiosity has discovered

8. Maturity.. to understand, but not misuse, the power of his Mastery

9. Sensitivity.. to have interest in, and to listen keenly for the concerns and issues of his slave

10. Compassion.. to hear the true feelings of his slaves, and to deal fairly with issues raised, within the confines of his principles and command

11. Accountability.. to accept the responsibility for the behavior of his slave and himself... to accept responsibility for the safety and security of his slave.. and to deal honorably with any issues that arise for either concern

12. Courage.. to stand up for principles and honor.. and, courage to stand and admit a mistake when he recognizes one has been made

13. Advocate.. for the endurance and prosperity of gorean culture

14. Ally.. standing shoulder to shoulder with other advocates of Gor

15. Mentor.. to others who have need of his example.

For me this is what it means to be a good Gorean Master. Thank you for taking the time to read it.

I have reached my point with everyone telling they know Goreans and how bad the Gorean life is. This is not only a loaf of BS, but down right wrong. I would like to say that there are a few bad apples that call themselves Gorean but do not act Gorean. The sad truth of the matter is that there are far more bad apples that take on the Gorean title only to be abusive and demeaning of woman and their slaves. These men are not Gorean Masters. They do not have honor in what they do. They do not hold the maturity to understand, but not misuse the power of his Mastery. They are missing courage to stand up for principles and honor and courage to stand and admit a mistake when he recognizes one has been made. And most importantly they completely lack accountability to accept the responsibility for the behavior of his slave and himself AND to accept responsibility for the safety and security of his slave and to deal honorably with any issues that arise for either concern.

I am not one to judge someone for how they run their household. I fully understand that some slaves want to be beaten and humiliated. I know that there are some slaves that want to be treated like a slut and paraded around like some freak show. Okay that is there lifestyle and how they want to be. This is fine with me. BUT this is not Gor!...

Gorean Masters have sound respect for their slave and the value that a good slave holds. Gorean slaves bring a level of dignity and honor to the household along side their Master's own. I do not treat mikia like some freak show slut because I respect her AND what she is.

This rant is focused on the fact that so many out there simply judge us because how others act as Gorean and not that we are Goreans living the lifestyle as it was meant to be lived. The true issue here is that so many hear of what Gor is and base there opinions on this. I would hope in the future some of you would please simply ask us who we are, and what we hold dare. Ask us what value a slave has in our household. Speak to us about your fears and understandings of Gor. Let us show you our household and what it stands for.

One of the things that has attracted me to the Gorean lifestyle is its demands on the Master rather then the requirements of the slave. The biggest thing that attracts me is a simple statement that rings through my mind like a giant bell tolling from the other side of a valley.

?A Gorean Master must be a master over his life?

There are so many aspects of my life that I am master over and yet still there are aspects of my life I know I still need to work on. The largest one is my weight issue. This is not an easy thing for me to deal with let alone talk about. I am not completely obese but I can stand to loss some poundage. It is not that I am not active. Hardly the case, mikia and I go out and play paintball every other weekend. We take long walks to the store and my work is really physically demanding. The issue is that I do not eat as healthy as I should. One of my largest fears is that I might loss the activities that I do and that my weight issues will become much more of a mess.

So here I am, making myself a demand to stop eating so unhealthy regardless of how much I enjoy it. I mean to step up more activities that we do and I want to drop ten pounds. Sure ten pounds is not allot, but I want to make a goal that I know I will be able to reach. If I were to set the goal too high then I put myself in a position to fail. By setting the goal at ten, I can reach it then set a new goal at ten. One can not run a marathon without taking a step first. This is going to be my first step. I know I can make it for I must master my own life as I master over mikia's

Well this is my first journal post and I have absolutely no idea on what to write about. When I first came to this site is was at the request of my slave in hopes of meeting a slave that she found and wanted to add to our family. Since then (just over a year ago) that person has left my household a better person. I have to say truthful I do not hold any ill regret towards her now. Oh but when it all went south, wow, I was upset and angry at her. What a rush of feelings. Betrayal, love, anger, and lost passion are just but a few I was suffering through.

Now I have come full circle once more and here I am again at my slave's request in attempts to find another slave that would this time be more compatible with our household. So here I am at my computer searching profiles and reading emails. LOL okay looking at the few emails I got. I am feeling kind of jealous at some of the profiles who complain about all there emails. LOL I have hardly any. Guess it is my lot in life. LOL

My goal now is maintain this profile much better then before and learn from other well experienced Gorean Masters. And yes I do admit that I am not prefect and do have my own flaws. This does not make me a bad Master nor does it make me unfit to have a slave. Just accepting the facts as they are. I do not have a life time of experience in the Gorean lifestyle.

I took a woman who had nothing when she moved in. At the end of our relationship when she left me, she had her bills paid off, her career underway, and a very sound car. All these things she does owe to my involvement in her life. I believe that we all are on a great journey together. To this end, we meet someone just to be joined for a crisis or situation. Sometimes we meet someone only for a period of growth in our lives then go our separate ways. I believe that this is what happened to us. We were never meant to be together past a period in her life. She knew this and I knew this. While the break up was painful, looking back I see that is was necessary. Then there are those rare times when we meet someone who is meant to be in our lives for all eternity.

So what can I offer a slave seeking 'just the right household?' I accept my duties of Master very seriously. To this end, rather a slave needs help to find a answer to a crisis, or a time to grow, or maybe even a joining of lives, I and my slave are here. This is what we offer, a safe harbor for those needing help, training or someone to call family.

But please understand that we are not like most Master/slave couples. We do not support mindless abuse or abuse for pleasure. We will not dress you up like a slut and parade you around town. These things are not Gor, and there fore they are not us. We are a household of structure. I am Master and she is slave. This is the order of things. There are no switches in this family nor are there male slaves. Once more these things are not Gor and there fore not us.
