To be Gorean equals a whole set of expectations and goals. I haven't figured out exactly how Gor fits into my life, but I know that to be called Gorean, it is a totality of expectation. I am not fully there yet, but I am growing daily, perhaps I always will be. I do enjoy Gorean culture. I know a lot about it. There are many ways I exist in a Gorean environment.

I'm a free woman, more by the nature of freedom afforded by those around me than by assertion of will. If you don't know Gor, then you would not understand this. To me, that's okay.

I'm a submissive. I'm a female with a great love for my husband of 20 years. I'm glad to have his leadership and I am glad to be his in so many ways, even if it isn't some formal identifier, unless you look to the last name he allowed me and the ring he put upon my finger as symbol that I am his.

I don't think the ways I've explored Gor made me less able to understand Gorean things. I think much like Stephan - who I hope still participates here - that I'm very Gorean at heart, yet not worried about labels per se. I hope the Gorean qualities I share with the world around me encourages others and brings out the best. Goreans embrace life fully. I do the same.
