Although I have had some very interesting conversations over the weekend no cultural activities have as yet been planned.  This may be because potential friends are being too general in what they might like to do.

So I have decided to list the things I would like to do in and around Manchester and see if a suitable man would like to accompany me.  Some of these events are happening quite soon so let me know what appeals.

  • Coffee and a movie (A Royal Affair- until 5th July) at the Cornerhouse cinema
  • Joan Armatrading at the Bridgewater Hall 4th November
  • Emilie Sande at the Bridgewater Hall 12th November
  • Eating at Australasia - a well reviewed restaurant
  • Cocktails at the Apotheca - Northern Quarter
  • Cocktial at Cloud 23 - Beetham Tower
  • Dinner at Opus One
  • Dinner at the Lapwing Restaurant
  • Comedy at the Comedy Store
  • The English National Ballet vs Flawless at the Palace theatre (6th - 8th July)
  • Showstopper at the Lowry - 12th July
  • High Tease Burlesque Show - Lowry 14th July
  • Manchester Art Gallery - We face forward exhibition - until 16th September

My profile has been online for just over 24 hours.  I have exchanged messages with some very interesting people.

The ones to whom I reply are well, written with no annoying text speak. They address me as I have requested and most of all they are polite.  Above that it is so good to hear from those who actually show an interest in the arts, who name plays they have seen, galleries they have visited, interests they actually persue.

Collarme may seem like an odd place to find a friend but for me it is as good as any.  At least we will know that we share a certain interest and even if it is never made explicit it is there bubbling nicely under the surface.

For those who have messaged me more than once - have patience. I have a lot of messages to get through, even if it's just hitting 'delete' for those foolish enough to fail to use my name as requested it does take time.

But let me say this, if you have a brain, an intellect and the ability demonstrate it in print you will find me a willing correspondent.
