In brief, I've been tangentially acquainted with non-vanilla relationships, sm and the like, for over 30 years. But I've never really pursued it actively, rather it has tended to arrive without me especially hunting it down. Now it's time to be more concious about this. I'm absolutely not interested in humiliating, harming or abusing you. Really. I'm attracted to intelligent, nerdy-geek type women, with your own opinions, ideas and life-path. I cannot with any honour disrespect that part of you.
I'm not your archetypal alpha-dominant 'bully', but I thoroughly enjoy taking control when it is offered freely. The idea of totally controlling a person for defined periods, while being realistic about what is sane and possible in the real world, is hugely attractive to me. I could switch for the right person, but as a part of playtime, not from an inner need. I cannot offer 24/365 TPE , it's not so much that I'm set against the idea, just realistic about what is achievable at this point.
In other words I make no claim to be a Dominant in the usual sense I see that most people have in mind. I do have a strong personality, I do know what I want, and I do enjoy topping in lively, intense sensation play. But in my world people do not 'own' each other. Your autonomy is important to me and will be respected.
What I am interested in is a female partner who has a masochist/painslut side and wants to be taken and fully controlled. I will undertake and delight in fulfilling those needs with negotiation, care and imagination. I'm the kind of man who lives for ideas, techniques and experimentation, while being a cautious person at the same time.
Nor am I full of pompous theoretical nonsense about D/s; I'm not claiming decades of deep profound experience and I'm always concious of how much there remains to be learnt.
I'm well-educated, especially in the sciences, and I earn a good living in a specific engineering niche. I've a definite liberal political outlook. Reactionaries and fundamentalists need not apply...really.
But we all have wider lives too. More than anything else I love the hills, mountains and rivers of this fantastic country. I could do nothing else I would spend the rest of my life travelling and hiking (the NZ word for this is 'tramping') in our magical backcountry.
There was a good 15yr period in my life when I was a regular with various Iyengar Yoga classes, but in recent years I've had difficulty accessing a suitable class. And I'm a little too lazy to get up at 5am to practise on my own...;_)
In the same theme I'm generally drawn to eating well, and keeping fit, without being fanatical about it. Fine cooking and gardening is more interesting to me in recent years as well... plus I've been seen by some locals rivers with a fly-rod lately, but so far the fish are perfectly safe .
Plus I will likely want to use your body for a full Tantric massage...
You will need to be prepared to answer questions, communicate and determine what is important to you before you remove any of your clothes. Clear, open consent is essential, but once that threshold is crossed ... you will be taken wherever it pleases me.
