I'm a history buff, a Reich sympathizer, and unapologetic of it, as I am of my gun-loving, knife and sword adoring martial ways... and I'm also a Royalist several generations lost( mainly intrigued with Hapsburgs, Bourbons and Romanovs ) , I'm an imperious brat, and in paradox, I'm tender, gentle and kind...well...I am right up to the moment that my will is crossed in even the slightest of ways. I am impossible...in every sense of the word... But charmingly so And you're not fleeing in terror yet? Hand me a rapier and I'll do my best to skewer you... I've even developed my own fencing style, based on the snippets of classical Italian styles that were passed on to me by dear friends... Capo Ferro? Bolognese? No...I give you the "Guardia Focaccia"...an indefensible maneuver in which you hand your opponent tasty breads and they lose all desire to parry Perhaps you've noticed I have a massive streak of humor? Perhaps just to kick off the New Year with a resounding *smack* to the buttocks of....hmmm?

The Song of the Day

***Dear Ludwig's Piano Sonata No 8, C Minor....the 'Pathetique' : allegro di molto e con brio***

Roughly translated here...my musical Italian and even my "proper" Italian are *beyond* rusty these days....anyhow the short phrase means something along the lines of "Quickly, with joy and with vigor"

This movement of this particular piece has passages that always speak to me, with a loud voice, and a clear intent...saying, screaming, even :

**This is music that belongs in the background while some poor dear girl is tied to a railroad track, locomotive approaching and no Hero/Heroine in sight**

I feel this same way about the *third* movement of 'Moonlight Sonata' as well...( the one *most* people never hear or recognize when they do hear it, eclipsed as it is by the first movement of 'Moonlight' )

Have a listen, and see if you don't agree, that these are the songs that should be played while some dastardly villain twirls his moustache in a sinister way over the helpless form of the 'fair maiden'
