First things first: I have an active and varied life outside of BDSM. I am a successful professional writer, and enjoy traveling, attending lectures and going to museums and plays. I have relentless curiosity and enjoy the feeling of exploration.
Doing volunteer work is important to me, and so is spending time with friends. I belong to many groups -- biking, book, etc. -- and have an active social life.
I work out four times a week, and bike 70 miles a week, since I prefer biking to driving whenever possible. (Though I like road trips and have driven cross country several times; as Walt Whitman said, I contain multitudes).
I am a naturally take-charge individual, but not an a-hole. I believe in letting others have their say, and am ready to put aside my own ideas for a better one from someone else. But when I get together with friends, I tend to be the one to plan the agenda; and believe it's better to ask forgiveness than permission.
I enjoy all sorts of kinky play, but enjoy the mental dynamic even more. I believe a man and woman can have an incredibly powerful sexual experience without touching, which is not to say I am against touching.
I don't consider a submissive to be inferior, anymore than the waves are inferior to the moon. They are simply two parts of a dynamic that need to operate in concert.
My preference would be to find someone I could have a relationship with, but I am open to play only until that happens.
I am happy to trade photos, and answer questions.

Halloween is here. I think all holidays should focus on putting women in fishnet stockings.
