I have just heard a cover version of Elton John's "Guess that's why they call it the blues" by James Blunt. I stepped back in amazement! That guy is good! So good I could not recall who sang it originally until the presenter said. Well I like him despite his reputation of being a suicide singer. He gets my vote :)

A day in Windsor today. I could never have anticipated how close and accessible the castle outer walls would be to the public just being in the town. You could touch them as you walked by. If walls could talk ........
My weekend away was fabulous! Another converted barn I wanted to move in to! We only left it briefly on Saturday afternoon to get more wine to stay in again :)

Having just had a very early morning brief couple of messages with another here who has a most wonderful talent and way with words, I feel my vocabulary is somewhat lacking.
I have had yet another lake to convey as part of my job this last week. I still do not understand the concept of measuring fluid in acres. Litres, or preferably gallons or even fathoms, yes. But acres? :)
He is so grounded, assured, astute and definitive. I could speak with him for hours. Almost serendipity.
The most gorgeous pair of very long soft fine black leather gloves arrived today which will go exceptionally well with an outfit I am going to wear at the end of next month. The smell of new leather is lovely, isn't it? :)
I do need to share this. I really really do.
So a hat (yes, a stand alone hat) messages me. The hat referred to is under 40 years old but clearly must have had a few knocks along with the head beneath it as it referred to me as young lady. Eh? What? Really? Oh dearyo. And we are expected to put our trust in these guys when some cannot recognise one generation from another let alone anything else! Of course it might have been a Freudian slip and that in itself is a concern :)
A hat for pity's sake. Still, on the positive side, it does make a change from the genitals. I am struggling to decide which is the more, or less, appealing. :)
