I am a woodcarver who has turned this craft to the creation of a special range of instruments of pain and I am busy making floggers, paddles etc (see photos....i can only put up a few on here but if you go to www.Fetlif*.com (a great free site!...substitute an 'e' for the * by the way...CM are such wankers they are scared of the competition!!) where my profile is sumisaruthie .

it's not just about the decorative woodcarving ( though I like to work with beautiful tools and I expect other Dom/mes do too) but it's about much more than that...pain fascinates me and I have put in quite a bit of research into materials and techniques of construction...for example most of the wooden paddles offered for sale are what I would describe as "great numb lumps" and a Dom/me might as well deliver a clout with a bit of 2"x4" ! I have been working on designs that deliver an intense sting factor without the deep bruising thump and the sensation is utterly different...the small-head models with long springy shafts are precise enough to use on naughty bits (though hell does THAT hurt!) and feel and handle rather like a crop. it's all down to hand planing and 'tuning' the blade until the pain quality is just right.
I've got floggers ranging in pain factor from moderate through to very severe..especially the 'barbed wire' ones and some of the solid rubber falls! and , perhaps more importantly, a huge range of QUALITIES of pain!
I also cater for Dom/mes with conditions like arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome and make a range of cane handles which are cranked for easy delivery and offer a nice fat grip for the hand.
