I read an article/blog this morning written by a (seriously) minor author describing her "sexual assault" and essentially calling all men rapists. I had to shake my head while reading this - and I had to write this note because it kinda pissed me off.

Background details: This married lady, whom happens to be poly, had a colleague she collaborated with from time to time via the internet and ran into at Steam Cons, and had known him for 3 months. She told her husband that she wanted to sleep with him, and the husband gave consent. She meets up with this colleague at a con in New York - they talk, they flirt, she's all into it - come to find out, he's "unhappily married." (Oldest excuse in the book, at some point all married people are unhappily married, depends on it you work through it or give up.)

So this news changes everything for her. The colleague asks if she wants to go back to his room, she says no. By her own account of the conversation, he tries gentle verbal persuasion and continued flirting - as was working prior to the revelation of his marriage. Now - She told him "No" to his continued advances, but she did not say, "I will not sleep with you because you are married." She (now) labels these further attempts to persuade her into a sexual relationship as "sexual coercion bordering on sexual assault." (I disagree, and will elaborate after more background.)

Eventually, he ASKS for a kiss, and she agrees - then more flirting and more advances - and she agrees to go back to his room - where the coercion continues to a point that the guy gets to third base before she finally leaves...

Here's my issue: Throughout the article, she's calling his guy a sexual predator, and saying that she was assaulted, and that coercion is tantamount to rape. Bullshit.

Those that DO know me, know that I have a metaphorical huge psychological woody for Covey's 7 Habits. In which he teaches people to be empowered - and that you do not have things happen to you that you do not allow to happen at some level. In other words - "Take responsibility for your own actions and stop blaming others for your misery!"

So let's reexamine this story, shall we? She asked her husband if she could sleep with this guy before the con even started. She continued the flirting. She did not say, "Please stop, the fact that you are married changes everything." She did not walk away. She didn't leave. She did agree to a kiss. She did leave the party with the guy. She did go to his room. She did start making out with him.

Now, I'm not excusing the guy, so don't think that I am. But I can understand the perspective that she's into me, she is sending mixed signals, she was flirting, she says yes on several things.... And for those of you that do not produce testosterone on a massive scale, you simply can not understand the power it holds on sex drive. (Go ask Chaz Bono.)

So in my opinion, this person "made themself a victim" through their own actions. She's content to blame others for the failings within herself to alleviate the responsibility that she should have asserted - and did not. This I cannot abide.

This is also the same old worn out story that I see all the time. Take ownership of your own actions. Really people, it will mean having to look at yourself in a not so wonderful light from time to time, but the empowerment that one gets from the realization that you really cause your own pain is amazing (even if it is hard to handle).

Pervert Hypocrisy: Being involved in a "deviant" lifestyle, it seems silly that the "we are looking for another girl, because I'd never share her with another man"* attitude is so prevalent. So it's okay for you to fuck other women, but not okay for her to fuck other men? Hypocrisy. Plain and simple. Now, if it is part of the kink, like in cuckolding, then that's different. However, what I'm talking about is not cuckolding. It is old fashioned hypocrisy, and I can not abide.

*Yes, I've seen almost that exact line in several profiles.

Here's an irony for everyone to ponder and respond to if you like.

Bisexual men are bisexual because they want to get fucked, too. So two bisexual men are a mismatch because they both want to get fucked. What a Bi guy needs, is a straight male - and well, that's not going to happen, either.

We are amused that when someone starts to talk to you (or you them), and their profile doesn't tell you much about them, and you ask for a little more info - they disappear. Fakes and frauds. We've done a superlative job filling in our profile, and addressing the "Likes" section fairly well - that should clue one into who we are. If one wants to be "owned" by us, reciprocate. And to the people this applies to - you're missing out.

BTW, I am wanting to learn how to tattoo. I have my own equipment - however, no one I have contacted is interested in gaining an apprentice. So, here is the deal, if you are a pain slut, or you just like tattoos, and you don't mind a novice using you as a practice canvas, then I may be interested in tattooing you. So long as you understand that I am just learning, and I am not licensed, and it may turn out like shit. Email and we'll talk.?

I'm thinking there needs to be a way to block people from viewing your profile. Simply block all persons that do not meet one's criteria. We get viewed all the time by those fucking wankers in the UK and Canada - and it's annoying.?

First off, if We don't respond to you, it is because We were so not interested, that it wasn't worth the time to respond.? Or maybe because you didn't bother to read Our profile. If you can't follow the simple little instructions within Our profile, it means you didn't bother to read Our profile, and We have no interest in those that can not follow the simplest of commands. If you can't do do Us that courtesy, then obviously you suck as a slave, and We will have none of that.
