I am a lifestyle leatherman, a Master and a Dom but I dont believe in anything "by the books". All relationships grow organically out of the mix of those involved. Who you are will affect who I am and vice versa.
In the Middle Ages, St Augustine created the Rule that is still used in monasteries. The Abbot is responsible for the spiritual growth of the brothers. He must make all decisions in accord with that responsibility, and before deciding, he must seek the counsel of the brothers. That is my Rule as Master and Dominant. I would enjoy being served by you, and I will enjoy your pleasure and pride in serving me well, but more importantly, if you surrender to me, I am responsible for facilitating (making easy) your spiritual and emotional growth, and I am responsible for my own growth to match yours.
I have been teaching about spirituality and sex magick and other more advanced topics since. For a number of years now, I have been teaching and leading an 18 month intensive class on leather traditions and spirituality. For the last two years, I have been leading a weekly workshop on intimacy in Ds relationships. My years teaching intimacy in Ds relationships has taught me a lot about the path that a submissive or a slave is likely to walk, and have grown in my own path through that knowledge, but I also know that you will have your own unique needs. I am excited about walking this path with my submissive.
That said, I must also add that I prefer powerful and centered submissives. My submissives are often Dominant in other relationships, and I enjoy that.
As far as techniques and "play", I do not consider my self a technique geek though I know how to use most of the tools of BDSM from suspension bondage to sado-botany. I used to teach flogging, cutting, piercing, hot wax, etc but I stopped teaching technique classes several decades ago when others stepped in to help fill that void. However, my play was never about the technique...always about intentionality, spirit and the journey that we both want to make together.
I am willing to do short term encounters to fill a particular need (e.g. catharsis or learning a specific technique) but I am most delighted by long term relationships. That adds some other dimensions to the relationship...
I travel regularly within the country and at least once a year outside the country for an extended trip. I sculpt erotic marbles so I usually spend September in a small town in Italy. I love being accompanied and served by my submissive when I travel.
I love theater, subscribe to several SF theater companies, and go to Ashland for their Shakespeare festival every year, and occasionally to London for theater. I also love live music and like to be attended by my submissive. And I the pleasures of the restaurant scene in SF.
