So I got my first car, nothing flashy, just a little Chevy Cavalier, it's got 4 wheels and and a/c so I'm happy, so now that it's all mine I get to customize it, make it my own. I set my favorite stations on the radio presets, the old country station is #1 yeah bite me if you don't like it, I set the bass and treble and all that to my perfect levels (it has a pretty snazzy stereo system) and I've ordered my Flying spaghetti monster "fish" emblem, but what I really want is an old cowboy hat.

After my grandfather died my grandmother put an old cowboy hat in the back window of her car. Partly because she was afraid of a string of robberies where old widowed women were being followed and attacked and robbed, but I think it was partly to keep my grandfather's memory alive. 

I'm greatly influenced by my grandfather, I may have barely known him, but from my childhood on I'm constantly greeted with "You're just like Papaw" small mannerisms such as my voracious appetite for reading, my interest obsession with politics, my stubbornness, my love for fine dressing, and my personality all resemble his. 

So I want an old cowboy hat, preferably one of his, to place in the back window of my car, as a tribute to a man I never knew, but that I know better than anyone else.

Kids

I love kids, I'm the kind of guy that when the random toddler in the supermarket is crying I'll make funny faces to cheer them up, the guy that will get down on the level of my little 5 year old cousin and play make believe in her crazy little world and not worry about am I not being "manly", but the more I think about it I don't think I want kids.

Honestly any child rearing is years off, maybe more than a decade, but I'm mixed on do I want to have kids. There is the obvious continuing my genetic lineage yadda yadda that sits on the have side, there's the opportunity to help mold a person and watch them grow that is pretty cool, but I still just  can't get excited about having a kid. I get it I'm young and "it'll all change one day" but what if it doesn't? I could get a dog.

Oh and these ramblings are mostly for my own sake, don't read too much into them.
