Leaving in a couple of days for a week in Oklahoma to attend Gorfest for the 6th year in a row. Will be back the 18th, but I am leaving again on the 20th to visit my daughter and grandson in Alabama. See everyone after the 12th of June!

Kitty didn't make it. He was just too weak to carry on. He is in a better place now. I am slowly healing from my Hysto and some minor complications to the surgery. This has been a hard year and it isn't over yet, but hopefully on a better track now.

Well kitty is doing better but he is awful thin and not eating well. Master and I got him some supplemental stuff though that we hope helps him. I *sign* am still on my crutches, although will have a second opinion on my knee as soon as I recover from my hysto surgery that I am going in for tomorrow. I sure hope all this marks the end to the problems in 2008. It has not proven to be one of my best years.

Well I am a little bit optimistic about my little kitten. He seems to be responding to the antibotics although he is far from well at this point. So keeping my fingers crossed that he will continue to get better. Now if I could just take a magic pill to make me better so I could get off these darn crutches.

Well, again my life is in upheaval to a point. I wish this year would settle down and allow me some quiet, calm time. I am still on crutches from my injury in June and it is really starting to get to me. I find I don't do alot of the things I would otherwise because it just seems too difficult. Which is a new thing for me as in the past I have always found a way to still do the things I enjoy no matter what the obsticles. I guess life has finally managed to get me down.
Yesterday we took my kitten, only 5 months, to the vet. as he was having trouble breathing. Turns out he probably has FIP which is terminal. We are treating with antibotics in case it is a pneumonia that has caused the fluid in his lungs but the doctor is not optimisic, I think he really only offered the slim hope that it was the later and treatable to give me something to do so that I feel I tried all I could. I just am not sure that I can bear another death right now.

Well the start of the year 2008 has been a busy, happy and sad one for me.
Gorfest was wet but wonderful this year. I always look forward to our vacation time there during May.
My daughter gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in March and we were blessed to be able to see the both of them for 3 weeks in May.
Recently I hurt myself at work and so at the moment am off until at least the 14th of this month.
We buried my dad this past week. It was somewhat expected so not the shock that sudden death leaves behind but now instead of just getting us moved to a new, bigger place this month we also need to help my dad's wife finish up the details and get her moved to a place that meets her needs.

Master wants me to update the profile here. So until further notice please consider it a work in progress.
With this month being extremely busy as we prepare to attend Gorfest and my daughter and grandson coming following our vacation it may take sometime to finish things up.

It has been some time since I posted anything here. My r/l has been very busy not to mention I went through a period of mild depression when I lost my sweet Whiskers cat on Christmas. After a nasty fight with the flu and a longer period of recovery I am finally getting things back together.-

The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind at home and work both. I can't believe how much stuff was crammed into the last 10 days. Just before I started management training at my job I had a rare both Saturday and Sunday off work with no plans for it out and about. It was a most wonderful two days for Master and I to be together just us. Than this past weekend we managed to make it to Omaha to help a couple from a local group celebrate their collaring anniversary. So many people there that we had not seen in quite some time. It was great spending time and catching up but oh so hard to drag myself to work the next morning at 5am. I wish I could say this coming weekend will be less packed with stuff to do, but that is not to be as it will be Master's 25th High School reunion.

Well today hasn't started out to be a very good one. I found my sweet baby gwen, (Cocktial) dead in their cage first thing this morning. Master made me take the day off work and he is not working this afternoon so that we can be together. He is so understanding; I am blessed to have found him. Now our worries are with the male cocktial, Sir, and how he will adjust. He and gwen had been together about 8 years, or most of his life and they were very bonded to each other. This evening after it cools down some Master is going to bury gwen in the backyard of his parents home, since we live in an apartment and haven't anywhere to do it.

Well for those of you that know me, you know that I am a huge CSI fan. Unless it is work or school I never schedule anything to interfere with Thursday night TV. Tonight after work instead of going home for the whole do a bit of housework and collapse in front of the TV by 8pm ... I went instead to my favorite local coffee shop. On the second Thursday of each month they host the Star City Slam Poetry Contest. I had never been before, man was I missing out. It was awesome. I didn't know so much local talent existed. It wasn't anything like the poetry classes I had to suffer through in school. It was alive, colorful and enlightening. The poetry flowed from these individuals as if they had been born to it. The passion of what they spoke about was so heavy; you could almost reach out and grab it, pulling it to you and letting it become a part of you. I feel like I was truely blessed to have been there.

Today is a very good day. I won my case with unemployment and they are going to have to go back and pay me like 6-8 weeks of past benefits. Financially that is a load off my shoulders so that I can focus more on Master and the household. Now if the sub that was living with us the past year would pay the $4000 in damages to my vehicle and return the things she stole when she left it would be a perfect day. Of course that is unlikely as she is off using her con on someone else already. Beware Dom Males, especially Gorean ones as she is trolling around collarme to find her future benefactors.
