Since I was heavily drugged for the first several days of my hospital stay (and consequently asleep for almost all of that time) I missed some of the finer points of what all went wrong in the accident. I knew I lot a lot of blood (the blood transfusion was hard to miss) but I didn't know how much--as it turns out, the magic number was 2 pints. Yikes! No wonder I was so tired. |

Those of you to whom I regularly speak here may have noticed that I've been absent for nearly a month. The first week was frantic preparation for Estrella. The second week was Estrella itself. On the way home I was in a near-fatal car wreck and have just gotten out of the hospital (after almost two weeks!)
I've broken my leg and arm but I'm recovering quickly. Dependence does not become me.
Speaking of what becomes me... I also cut off all my hair. Those of you who know my cascading raven tresses by photo or *gasp* in person will be shocked to know that they are now gone. Not completely of course, but my hair is very short. Shorter than it's been in years... and it's adorable. |
