Rain pelted the window from outside. He turned to see a flash of lighting streak across the black cloud of night. Suddenly a scraping at the door came. It was her. He knew she’d come back. He knew she would need Him.

The knock at the door grew louder He stood there. He heard her call His name. He heard her beg. He could tell she was sobbing. He held His place a moment longer. She was pounding on the door. Her cries to Him were almost unbearable. He quickly moved to the door and flung it open. There she was hair matted, clothes clinging to her body. She was curled up at the door and he looked at her. Her eyes met His and they both knew. She tried to stumble out and apology. He silenced her. She tried to plead with Him and yet He silenced Her. He brought her a warm towel and gathered her in His arms. She clung to Him. Softly she wept against His shoulder. Her tears stained His shirt, but He did not care.

He placed her upon the edge of the tub. Gathering her clothes he stripped her bare as He turned on the water in the bath tub. Once again she tried to apologize stammering out an “I’m sorry”. Yet again He silenced her. He bathed her carefully. The warm water splashed against her skin. His hands gathered her hair and furiously lathered the shampoo into it. He caressed her body with soap. She sunk into the tub. Her shoulders where hunched forward for she knew she had disappointed Him. His silence was unbearable. When He was done He drained the tub and she reached out to Him. He pushed her hand away. Pressing the warm towel to her body He dried her. She was His after all. He promised to always take care of her no matter what. He would always protect her from everything. After he had dressed her in her pajamas she moved to the side of the bed. “NO” He sternly said to her. She whimpered and He told her to move to the guest bed. She had not earned the right to lay with Him. Not tonight. He told her they would discuss everything in the morning and she would be further punished. A silent tear fell down her cheek. She whispered “I love You, Master” and proceeded to the guest room where she remain till He called for her in the morning. Though she could barely hear it as she turned to walk away she would have sworen that she heard an “I love you too, pet.”
