Hello and thank you for dropping by my profile. My name is Mareana. (Have fun pronouncing it :p No one gets it on the first try!) I just turned eight-teen and about to graduate high school! I am so excited! College is finally just around the bend.
I'm a pretty shy person until one gets to know me and then I'm like a loose cannon. My friends can hardly recall a time that I'm quiet. I'm a big go getter. I like to do things for myself and get things done right the first time. I enjoy pleasing and helping others out. During summers and holidays I'm always volunteering at something!
Chances are that I'll be nothing like what you originally picture me as which is one of the many things that annoy me on sites like this... but what can you do? Much like MySpace, this site probably promotes dishonesty and other negative qualities. I hope that those who I meet are not of that type. :)
If you get to know me you'll find that I am all about keeping it real. I'm a very confident woman and upon first speaking, I will come off that way. That doesn't mean I'm a bitch or anything of the sort. I'm actually very nice. :) I might put a picture up, I have not yet decided... but feel free to ask! I have plenty!

I simply can not stand liars! I do not see the purpose of doing so. I
suppose that some lie for certain reasons, but were they not honest if
they came out and told you themselves rather then letting you find out
the hard way? I do wish that I could understand men and their pride but
I can not. Perhaps I only think I want to.
I am an honest person. Do not lie to me. I will like you for who you
are, not who you say you are. I don't get into online romances any
longer, but if one were to come up where it could become something
serious and real it is going to be be because of who you are, not who
you want to be or are trying to be. Please, please be you!
(I apologize to some of those who have sent me mail and got no
response. I am not ignoring you, I'm just very busy and rushed. I will
try to get back to you! If I was already talking to you and then didn't
respond feel free to nag at me. I really don't mind! I just get rushed,
read, don't get a chance to respond before I'm out the door and forget.
I really enjoy speaking with all of those with whom I've had the
pleasure of meeting.)

I have been on this site for less then twenty-four hours and already I have found people worth talking to. Before I joined, I browsed profiles and heard so many negative points-of-view about this site. I read about all the 'fake' people on here and that made me curious. What exactly is a fake person? Perhaps a fake personality would be the best way to describe it. Having been a teen for 8 years now, I know what projecting a fake personality on the net is. At thirteen, I would say my name was Ariel, I was 16 and the exact opposite of who I actually was. This site is for adults, if you are not going to act like yourself, please refrain from messaging me. I only want those who can share real information with me, real experiences, real knowledge. By the time I actually became 16 I'd learned that being real is what it is all about, sure there is a danger on the net, but there is also a danger in walking in WalMart! I'm real... I'm all about being real... show me who you really are! I don't care what you weigh, what you look like, where you live. Just be real, be you!
