About strangeautocrat
I build. Businesses, rockets, airplanes, bicycles, and (in another life entirely) furniture. I work with my hands and my mind, never letting a day slip without honing my tools or my craft.
I ride my bicycle every day - sometimes slowly and whimsically to give myself room to think, and sometimes hard and fast to silence the endless chatter between my ears. Long rides at a sustainable pace on some days, hard rides in the 90% zone other days. What I want out of each ride is different - sometimes it's just to get across town.

I walk my majestic pit bull off-leash at 5 in the morning. Early mornings are lovely - individuals bound by social convention (and likely to make faces at me for nominally irresponsible dog husbandry) are still abed and I can muse freely with a half-eye on the gentle giant.
I've walked away from money+safety+security to build my own company with my best friends. Never have I looked back, and I'll likely make the same call again - I always prioritize happiness over material goods. |
