One thing I've noticed is that people have the tendency to take things fast. I'm partially at fault myself for not stepping on the brakes. I guess it all comes with inexperience and learning and trying to find oneself. But I have come to realize I want to take things slow. I want to get to know someone first: what they like, what they dislike. And not just sexually or bondage-wise, but also life-wise. I don't want to be just another faceless sub to my Master or Mistress. I want to be their submissive, in the terms that they know what makes me tick. They know I like to be spanked, but I also love old school Transformers. They know I want to please them, but they also know Nine Inch Nails speaks to my soul. And I want to know the same about them. Who are they beyond being my loving yet strict Master or Mistress? What bands do they like and why? What movies give them a good laugh. I want that special spark with my Master or Mistress to be. Is that naive?

someone asked me a very good question tonight. they asked why i was attracted to the bondage lifestyle and why i wanted to submit. many of you will probably want to ask me the same thing. here was my answer to them:
the power exchange is what makes me interested in Domination. i believe
BDSM can be the ultimate test in trust and love. my personality is so
dominant in real life, that i want to submit in the bedroom to that
right man whose strong enough to master a strong woman. i want to bow
to a strong man, but still be respected and cared for.
