Used with permission from the journal of tarynslave On the subject of submission and slavery... These are not varying degrees of the same thing, but two completely separate concepts. Submission is the act of bending to the will of another more dominant person or group. Slavery is the complete loss of autonomy. A slave is almost always in a state of submission, but a submissive isn't necessarily a slave. The submissive becomes a slave when they give up their autonomy (or have it taken from them) and no longer have any choice but to submit. Ok, I'm off my soapbox.
