I share a medley of proverbs throughout this journal.  Some adages are philosophies you can live by and others you can heed, for they are a presage for impending future.

There is an old proverb that says, "Be careful what you wish for, for it might come true." And if your wish is for immortality, it is something you will have to live with for a very long time.

Thoughts on…

Who I’d like to meet:
A Daring, Down-Ass Chic whose down for whatever & whenever.  A Ride or Die chic, or any of the other clichés that come from lyrics. 

More seriously, the sub who deserves me will have the courage to volunteer her trust from the start. Then once she begins to understand me and sees beyond the visage and overcomes her own trepidation, her newly discovered confidence in me will compell her to relinquish her defenses and surrender to me.

On smoking:
I don't smoke, but I am no part of that mob mentality that is the morality police, either.  Everyone has a right to destroy or defile their own body.

On politics:
The kings of the earth are corrupt, and drunk with power. They have the blood of the innocent on their hands. They will soon murder the Great harlot and this will ignite Armageddon.

On Pets:
I Love innocent and even ferocious animals.  In some cases, more than some people.

on Kids:
Someone has got to preserve the human race.

on alcohol:
Spirits are an ancient gift from those who descended from the stars.

on fitness:
A necessity of life.  Essential for physical & mental health as well as a long life span. One hour a day keeps the doctors and coroners away.

On hygiene:
If you care about yourself and others, and you are not a laggard slob, then you practice it and practice if continuously.

On fashion:
I take inspiration (not cues) from fashion designers and then mix & match to create my own personal style for my story.

On drugs:
The ultimate monopoly controlled by the pharmaceutical companies in cahoots with medical professionals who push drugs on their patients by over prescribing.  They're killing people. They are one reason why heart disease/failure is the number one killer.

Increasingly, modern science pursues powers traditionally reserved for the Almighty.
But those who encroach upon the province of the Gods
realize too late that the price for entrance is destruction.

It is said that civilization began when man first became capable of changing his environment.
What will happen when he has the ability to change himself?
When no human need be cursed by heredity.
Will it be the beginning of a glorious new kind of civilization or the end of everything we know?

Humans have long feared invasion from other worlds.  If that horror comes to pass, our leaders will stand as our first line of defense...Unless of course, our leaders themselves are the invaders.

Just to be clear:  Those who make the mistake of assuming, may have been confused by my profile preferences which include both d & s and both genders.
My preferences do NOT reflect my sexual preferences.

The reason doms and males are checked in my profile preferences is because I don't play with everyone with whom I network.  Thus, I welcome inquiries from other doms, males and females who wish to collaborate on production / performance projects & purposes.

I shoot fetish photography and offer a Fully Equipped Dungeon For Rent to other doms and their slaves.
I also play host at said Dungeon to select and very subservient females.

During my hiatus from photo shoot productions, I started another venture which kept me busy, but also polished my talents in other areas - as any worthwhile projects tend to do.

I mention this in case there are any submissive or dominant persons who enjoy being captured on film (whether it be for professional or personal purposes) and would like to collaborate in some way in order to create artistic images.

Every so often, a recording artist will emerge whose sound style can only be described as timeless. When you think of artists who’ve earned that kind of reverence, many names come to mind; Jimmy Hendrix, The Who, Elvis Presley, etc.. Recently, while talking music with a younger coworker in his early twenties, one other name came to mind: Pat Benatar. I for one, knew full well about her. In fact, I have her complete collection of albums in my MP3 player. What surprised me during this exchange of tastes, was just how much the latest generation has rediscovered the inimitable sounds of Pat Benatar.

Pat Benatar was topping the charts when I was in my early teens and I certainly loved her music, but one’s appreciation for an artist’s contributions are never more fond than after their time has passed.

Thanks in part to a faction from today’s youth - the ones who represent alternative rockers or independent &  empowered, rebellious females, Pat Benatar has earned  the distinction of being ‘timeless’. You can’t just give an artist such lofty status…It must be earned. And there’s no more legitimate proof of earning that kind of respect than to be recognized by the fans or in this case, rediscovered by a whole new generation.

This kind of honor doesn’t come from one or two hits. A timeless recording artist must, not only stand the test of time, but also do it with a respectable amount of hit songs. And Pat Benatar has accomplished both.  Pat Benatar rocked onto the music scene in 1979. She was the first female artist to appear on MTV when it premiered in 1981, and went on to win four consecutive Grammys for Best Rock Performance (Female). She practically paved the way for all of today’s female recording artists.

I was quite surprised just how many great tunes she’s turned out. It was only recently that I went to my hard drive archive to import 3 of her songs into my MP3 player when I was struck by just how many songs I ended up transferring…12 to be exact – and those are just the songs that I love! Considering just how selective I am about music, that’s quite impressive.  I was compelled to listen to every single song just to make sure I hadn’t missed anything good. It was then that I recalled my conversation with that coworker and how he had recently become a fan. What he shared with me gave me a sort of glimpse into a certain buzz and the popularity Pat Benatar has with his generation. It also spawned this commentary.

Part of her appeal with young women and all rockers, particularly young women, is her bold lyrics and her voice so full of angst and rebellion. One other reason may be the bridge that exists between her music and today’s youth: her daughter, Haley, who’s followed in the footsteps of her mother…sort of. Benatar and Geraldo said that Gina has finally come around to making music with a new all-girl pop combo. "Our older one just was wishing we could have been plumbers or something," Benatar said. "She now has a band of her own called Glow. It's three girls and they're kind of like the 'N Sync, the Backstreet Boys, but girls. They just had their first gig and they did great. And we just recorded two songs for their demo." 

One can’t help but think that her daughters own musical influence has prompted her fans and contemporaries to peer into the past – into the 80’s when her mother reigned - to rediscover this one-of-a-kind Badass female Rocker.
