About me
I’m a tall, single, chilled guy, who lives and works in Edinburgh. I'm gregarious - a regular on the kink scene. I like socialising, drinking real ale, rock and indie music (got to dance), comedy, cycling, board games and festivals (Glastonbury, Fringe, etc). I'm lucky enough to have a good job that keeps me busy and presents me with interesting technical problems on a regular basis.
I have a passion for photography. A few of my images can be seen either on my profile or on the profiles of some of my friends. I am always looking for willing volunteers to help me develop this passion -please let me know if you'd be interested in hooking up for a photo session!!
Kinky me
Kink wise, I identify as dominant / top. I enjoy control, domination, and various types of play. I'm particularly interested in ropes - everything to do with them. The time it takes, the aesthetics, symmetry and skill (I'm a visual person). I also like various forms of impact (floggers etc) as well as sensation play (feathers, wax, ice, vibrations, scratches, scritches, bites), orgasm control, fucking, and the smell of a woman. For me it's all about seeing my partner's response, whether laughter, yelping, wincing, shivers, goosebumps, fear, lust, bruises or orgasms... It’s all good.
I think I've always been interested in kink, but I was a late developer in terms of actually getting around it. I lurked on the internet for way too long (I still shudder when I think of the emails I used to send). I think my first club was in 2000, my first munch was later (2002?), and it was 2006 before I started to become a regular at events. I even managed to co-host a rope workshop in 2008.
These days I'm a regular at a couple of the Scottish kinky clubs where I enjoy socialising as well as playing. The latter can involve ropes, impact, or sensation play, either as an introduction to something new for someone, or helping a friend to scratch an itch. Generally this type of play is focused on my playmate, with the intention of giving them something they enjoy in some way, whether a new experience or just the opportunity to have fun. At times I've considered myself a service top (i.e. giving people something that they need), but this fails to acknowledge the fact that I do it because I enjoy doing it, on both an intellectual and sexual level. Recently I've come to realise that playing with people can be rewarding no matter what relationship I have with them, particularly if they're rope bunnies.
I can also spend a fair chunk of time in clubs doing non play activities with ropes; impromptu demo’s, trying new things, or even tying someone up so that they can then go on to enjoy further play with someone else.
As much as I enjoy the freedom of casual encounters I am open to developing a relationship with a like minded woman. I wouldn't say that I'm particularly searching, it's more a case of making the most of my life and if someone comes along - bonus (ideally someone who can overlook the fact that I dance like a fraggle).
What am I looking for:
Actually life is pretty good right now, but I wouldn't be adverse to finding more people interested in:
- Friendship (male & female)
- Locals for going to events (I'm a proponent of the scene and getting people to munches).
- Ropes, both as play and getting together to develop skills – particularly suspensions
- Photography, mainly subjects, but I'd also find it useful to spend time with other photographers.
- Boardgames.
I would like to say here that I'm not a mind reader, so if you are interested in ropes / play / coffee / dinner / a date to a club / a photo session, etc, you may have to do more than drop subtle hints.
I'm a very friendly guy - drop me a message and say hello. I'm happy to give new people (as well as friends) a lift to events, or meet for a drink somewhere prior (especially happy to do this if you are anxious about your first event).
